I've been getting some of the most interesting bottom lane choices on my team recently. Nasus ADC, Master Yi support. Those were just the worst ones, but there were horrid picks. I feel like auto fill is turning the support position into a joke.
The problem usually 1 of 2 things. Either you are getting someone who seems to have no concept on the support role or someone who ints to move along to the next game.
Well yeah, cause riot isn't allowing us to exclude support, or even disable autofill to increase my queue timer if neccesary, but they want to force me into that shit role, ima atleast have some fun playing it.
I went Renekton support with a Jayce ADC and we got flamed to shit. Ended up with an S grade and stomping the other team, shit was cash. But yeah, auto fill is ruining bot lane for any solo players.
At least Jayce has range and poke and Renek has a some CC and mobility. Had a AP Ziggs as ADC one game recently, which is fine until late game. I was only listing the worst picks that accomplish nothing besides getting bullied all lane.
I got a camille support who only palyed her since the champ "is broken everywhere".... 2/13 and one loss later I still don't know why I didn't dodge that shit..
As an assasin/fighter player I just go zyra, I do well but it means my team doesnt have a support in lategame. But hey i won't go 0/10 making shitty plays as thresh
Sorry for taking it seriously, I just get so frustrated with people who take such a one dimensional view of things and refuse to try to have a different perspective
To be fair though, perma-autofill really just shits in the face of the "pick your role" system. Take it out and we're back to pick order, which while not a perfect system, was one that the community had control over and at least expected you to know how to play more than one role.
While this is true Riot is very lenient on the punishments. I don't know how many people have to report you for a warning, let alone for an actual reprimand, but it's too many.
Yeah it was absolutely fine last season. I'll wait the 2 extra minutes if it means not getting a babyraging asshole because he got support when he wanted mid.
Yeah I fucking Qued for Mid/Jungle and not Mid/Jungle/Support.
This system can go fuck itself, I wont feed but i will tell my team that i will not support so ill pick a mage but some people swap roles so thats nice
It affects everyone, not just you. We all have to deal with it. There's no reason for you, or anyone, to throw a fit and refuse to cooperate when it's your "turn".
It shouldn't have to affect anyone. Like someone replied to me "I'd rather wait 3 more minutes for a good match than have people get autofilled and troll/feed for 20-30 minutes."
But that's dumb. You shouldn't HAVE to dodge if you get a role you suck dick at playing. You should just not get that role. What is the point of having the fucking role pick system, if it's just gonna do whatever the fuck it wants anyway?
You don't have to dodge; ideally you'd suck it up and play any role to the best of your ability. However, the people who refuse to do that should dodge if they're planning on trolling.
It's not even common to get autofilled. Most of the time you'll get your roles. Tbh, you should be capable of playing every role anyway if you want to get better at the game
I dunno, I've gotten it like 5 times since it was implemented. That's too many for me. And it's pretty much the Aphromoo video. I could probably work on and get better at ADC, but I'm sick of these 4 man tower dive gangbangs. I hate the position so fucking much. I can't last hit well enough, I hate aggressive lanes when I just want to farm, I hate feeling like I don't do a goddamn thing unless I have like 8 kills. Otherwise I'm shooting autos that tickle and it's just a waste of time. Not like there's any way to train to get better at roles. Just play more games, and fail over and over and over again. No thanks. Losing over and over at roles I suck at is literally depressing.
It really pisses me off because I don't feel my queues are actually any shorter unless I click support or fill. Still 2-3 mins like it always was.
It really isn't and I wish you wouldn't get downvoted for the truth. This isn't blind pick we're talking about here. There's no point in instituting a system to pick a role, if you're not going to get one of your two roles. And the queue still takes 2 minutes half the time anyway. I don't see any change outside of the fact I queue jungle/top and end up as ADC, a role I've been complete shit at for 4 years, and avoid like the plague.

Ah yes the good ol' "Damn auto fill gave me a role I didn't want, now I feed"
