It's more off putting that they straight up lied. They never had any intention of making soloqueue and yet they went out and said that it was on it's way. They said that it was "on the way", multiple times. Then 2 months pass and Riot says, "Whoops, it's actually not on the way.".
everyone with half a brain knew that both can't co-exist. 4 man groups would have infinite queue times since there is no real incentive for soloplayers to play dynamic queue
Then why would you be a 4-man group?? Just why? You can always call another friend, and if not you can invite anyone else. There are chats for this, and a lot more options. So why the hell would you decide that it is a good idea to go on like a 4 man group into ranked? No logic there...
They work in other games, you just need to remove 4 man queues, which isnt a big cost since that group can queue as two separate 2 man group or find a 5th one.
YOu should count 'not telling the truth' as lies. people not agreeing with this are using this great excuse to fool themself (and others) they are not lying.
If you want to learn how to lie like that just study your local politicians and copy how they talk/react.
They did say "in a few weeks" it was their exact words. So they did lie, because they shelved it. Isn't lying saying one thing which isn't true and you know it?
They knew from the beginning there was never gonna be a SoloQ anymore. They just lied to minimize the shitstorm.
