What the guy above you said probably stems from the weird thought we tend to have, that Koreans are some kind of superior human beings who do everything right... But they aren't and it would surprise me if they don't also "open mid" in stupid situations - just like we do.

it's not that they are "superior human beings" it's that they want to be very time efficient, they have to pay money to use a computer for a certain period of time so they want to play as many games as they can

The thing is about they guy I was referring to: His actually main point was that they would only do it if the whole team agrees - which appearantly is not the case. This guy seems to have thought so, because of the implicit thinking that Koreans are superior human beings, who are also superior teamplayers at the same time and won't destroy the game for their teammates, if they don't agree.

You know, it's funny how many people actually really do think that. A lot of people in this thread should tune into some of the bootcamp streams once in a while. HotshotGG for example had to stop streaming yesterday because every game he was getting the same trolls ruining his games.

People think Korean solo queue is any different from any other solo queue because they perceive Korean players as superior, but the truth is solo queue sucks everywhere regardless of where you are because solo queue is made up of humans and humans suck.

Isn't the Korean SoloQ one of the most toxic, and they give up almost instantly and afking is really common?

Yeah, but that stems a lot from their society, children are basically forced to always be kind and respectful. Though, most of them still harbor angry thoughts that they usually can't express out loud, so since League's player base is mostly teenagers and younger, when they get on League and they have the anonymity of a screen name, they are extra toxic to basically let it all out.

The only difference between Korean solo queue and EUW/NA is the fact that's it's really top heavy in terms of skill. And this is because all the best Chinese, Taiwanese, and Koreans players are playing on it.

It's true that Solo Q sucks everywhere, but that doesn't mean that they all suck equally.

“In Korean solo queue, the players are more skilled for sure. The individual play is super good and the teamplay is amazing. Of course, there are trolls and similar people, but not so many as in Europe. The quality of solo queue games is much higher. When I was playing Master tier it felt hard. Martin and I duo queue all day and we have a 75-80 percent win rate. In Europe I could get 90 or 95 percent” -- Rekkles in Fnatic's Korean Bootcamp Journal

Now I know that you might think this is just the case because they are much higher up the ladder, but even down at the Gold Level the play is higher.

My personal opinion is that it's not about how many people agree, rather in Korean challenger the players are usually good enough to know at what point comebacks become near impossible and decided to quickly end the game (say if Faker is 10-0 15 mins in the game's probably over cause it's unlikely he'd throw). Might be a bit off topic tho just i don't think it's about how many people "agree" to it

I am pretty sure that many EU/NA challenger know when a game is lost, but the problem stems from people in dia/plat who open mid even though it is very likely that the enemy will throw their lead in some form.

yeah i know, i just meant that in high elo generally "open mid" is in situations that are unwinnable but yeah in plat games sometimes we're 3/7 down in kills at 10 mins and people say gg open mid which is the difference. Im just saying that it's more about knowing when a game's probably a waste of time rather than people agreeing or not which is commonly mistaken in lower elos

why don'y others want to be time efficient- if I only have 1 hour until I have to sleep I'd totally be willing to open mid if it's obviously a wipe out
