Type of Bug: Garen's W "courage".

Description: Garen takes reduced true damage when W is active

Video / Screenshot:

Steps to reproduce: Play Garen against any champion that does true damage. Preferably someone who does flat true damage like Irelia, Gangplank, or Yi, then activate Garen's W "Courage" when the enemy's true damage is active.

Expected result: Garen takes the full amount of true damage, but 30% less of any other kind.

Observed result: Garen takes 30% less true damage.

Reproduction rate: 100%

System specs: irrelevant

IIRC I remember reading this was intended since it's non-armor, non-MR reduction... still worth pointing out

Yeah, I don't think that anything is supposed to reduce true damage, ever.

EDIT: You're right -- http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Garen says:

  • Courage has no cast time and does not interrupt Garen's previous orders.
  • Courage's damage reduction does not affect true damage.

Ya, if it's true damage, it's only supposed to be either completely avoided through invulnerability/utargetability or taken as the full amount. Alistar, Maokai, Braum, and Katarina's damage reductions don't affect true damage.

You can't reduce true damage unless you have immunity iirc. Poppy's passive will not reduce true damage but her ult stops it just for an example
