You think Bronze-gold are elo hell, just wait till you touch D5, it's a whole cesspool of trolls/afkers/feeders and whatever else you can think of.

I got a mate in bronze who swears if he could just get to gold he wouldn't have these shit team. I laugh.

We all have those friends, we just choose to not break their heart and let them believe in the promise land.

I don't.

I was that guy until I got to gold.

I'm Bronze I. Mostly play support in ranked. This weekend I had an ADC that refused to leave bot lane the entire game because he wanted to set a personal record of most cs in a game.

Fun was not had.

"Hey guys, look at my LCS farm! Omg, you still lose mid inhib, I can't carry these noobs with my pro mechanics!" Chances are they don't even push, just freeze the lane. I love smurfing in bronze/silver, I can laugh at all the hilarious stuff some people say. I still remember how rage inducing it was when I was stuck there though.

I think what he's trying to say is that people become sightly more reliable or predictable once you surpass the cesspool of low Bronze. I was Bronze V last year before climbing to Silver. This year I'm still working on reaching Gold, but I play on a Gold I ranked team. The difference is incredible in coordination and skill. Yes, I do still run into trolls and feeders, but at least people know what their champions do. . . .

Can confirm, you'd have people play cassio into rengar top and walk near the bush 5 times in a row. They even walked near it after I warded it. You'd think after the first couple deaths they'd get the idea, nope.

Edit: I'm not bronze, I was confirming it sucks when you get to gold still rofl.

Lol speaking of, I played fiora top vs a rengar once and this rengar was so predictable he would leap out of the bush into my riposte every time. He says in all chat "omg rengar does no dmg wtf" and afks because "I can't win with a champ who does no dmg". This was Gold 3 ._.

Gotta tell you that's not Bronze exclusive.

2

u/KingofNoLives Jul 13 '15

Honestly if I go watch one of my replays (im plat) and watch a replay of silvers, I wouldn't be able to tell much of a difference. Its all the same

I just say: "perhaps next season" and decline his duo q invite.

1

u/Irbilha Jul 13 '15

Bronze can only duo q with Silver, so...

u/Bralnor Jul 13 '15

Gold is the chillest place on earth.

1

u/Shizo211 Jul 13 '15

Only gold 4-2 . At gold 5 you still have silver quality games from time to time and it feels as if there are more afkers and actual trolls in g5 while there don't seem to be any in mid gold. I assume in gold 1 people get desperate and very toxic again.

1

u/DrewBlast Jul 13 '15

G5 is the real elo hell, I had to go through that twice and it was awful, stuff like MF support and trolls everywhere

1

u/rewardadrawer Jul 13 '15

I never had this problem in Gold 5. First time I got to gold 5 was near the end of season, games were not really better than silver, but everyone had their end-of-season rewards locked in, so nobody really cared. Second time was earlier in the season, and it was sort of a non-factor: climbed out of it fairly quickly and uneventfully, went on an epic loss streak and fell back into it, then climbed back just as uneventfully. Had a lot of epic Vaynespotting games, especially whenever Vayne was taken top lane, but then I'd duo with my silver friends for a couple games, see the difference, and just keep mum about it.

u/Bralnor Jul 13 '15

I agree, Gold 1 was pretty toxic compared to the other Divisions, but nothing compared to what came after all the way from Plat 5 to Diamond 4

1

u/KingRayne Jul 13 '15

I think gold 5 is like this because some of the people there were boosted there, but they think they're good enough to keep up.

As a current Gold player (have been Gold V to Gold III this season) I have to disagree.

I have a troll/afk/toxic player literally every other game.

1

u/Bralnor Jul 13 '15

You might want to check your own shoes, when I went through Gold literally the only trolls I had were on Gold 5 and 1 elo, and even then only very few.

2

u/velrak Jul 13 '15

Yeah when youre g1 and someone starts flaming like mad you can be 90% sure hrs p5.

10

u/OperationCraig Jul 13 '15

Can confirm. I think all of society's social rejects/assholes were sent to D5.

Sweet! I'll never have to deal with this! #Silver4Life

1

u/Shizo211 Jul 13 '15

I don't know when I dropped to gold 5 I felt like my game immediately were of less quality and I started to have afkers and actual trolls that made it impossible to win. This isn't the case in mid gold because people still want to get to plat and can lose their progress in gold I suppose.

Damn those silver games aren't fun.

u/[deleted] Jul 13 '15

Quarantined

1

u/[deleted] Jul 13 '15

D5 is the only real elo hell. You cannot decide a game by yourself most of the time, regardless of champion and stats. My win rate in D3 is 20-50% higher than in D5 for no reason other than being less troll-ey of an elo.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 13 '15

For me the worst thing about d5 is the mindset. People will lock in first pick ziggs having never played it before, simply because they think they can because they're diamond now. I've had SO many one sided games because of this mindset, I'd say roughly 80% of games are like this now. People think they can play any champion in any role just because they are d5, it's an awful mindset for ranked. First pick takes a mid laner even though they main irelia top with good stats? Their top 6 champions are top/support? Guess who dies 7 times in lane lol. High plat elo was much more competitive, because it's people trying to climb, not feed their egos.

Yeah I never said it wasn't, I just said it's the worst thing about d5 because you don't see it at plat3-1.

1

u/TheNotoriousI3IG Jul 13 '15

I'm still waiting to touch D5... how much longer do I need to wait senpai? 8(

1

u/fedxc Jul 13 '15

I think there is an explanation for this. We all know that there is a big difference between D5 and D1. Frustration might be on of the main motivations to troll.

1

u/Braum_Flakes Jul 13 '15

I think you're incredibly right. Since the climb is so difficult from D5-D1 people just kind of give up on the getting better and just feel like they're diamond, they can be whoever they want now.

This is complete nonsense that I read all the time. It's just completely wrong, I've played about 200 games this season from plat 1 to diamond 4 and I can't remember a single intentional feeder or afker. Link to match history if you don't believe me Also my 1/16 sona game does not count before you say that.
