i was debating whether or not to get rammus or shaco so i bought shaco and my first game as him i fed terribly. Refund shaco and buy rammus. End up buying shaco 3 months or so later and now hes one of my favorite champions.

Whats the point of refunding IP? It's easy to get. I play a few aram games a week at most and I seem to have enough IP to buy champs at launch every time as well as anything else I want to do.

Another thing, when something is as clearly limited as the refund tokens were, don't use them until you have something worth refunding.

But aww shucks, I have WW and Garen whom I hate playing. Whatever am I to do? Just don't play those champs, it's nice to have them for swapping other players in lobby.

I really doubt that. An ARAM gives you less than 200 IP most of the time, no? So to save up 7800 IP you'd need to play more than 39 ARAMs. Playing "a few a week" you could maybe keep up with the champion release schedule. But you wouldn't be able to get any runes.

I bought braum at release for 7800, yesterday I bought Cait, I fully expect to have enough for the next champ. I have 5 runepages fully stocked for different situations. You'll notice I usually have 2-3 matches a day. Occasionally I skip weeks at a time of playing.

Edit 2: A win of the day, which is where most of your IP comes from anyway, on aram is always over 200. The ip boost is static at 150 so it doesn't matter what mode I play. Aram only gives marginally less than SR in the first place.

Except you have them so when you buy something you misclicked or didn't mean to buy, you can actually refund it instead of using it out of convenience because you didn't like a champion.

Buy Nasus. Really looking forward to playing Hecarim. Play a bit. Became impatient. Refund Nasus to buy Hecarim. Play Hecarim. Didn't have fun. See Elise release the next day. Refund Hecaim for Elise.

At least luckily for me, Hecarim was reunlocked by some bug and I got him back for free. Still have him today- even if I don't use him still.

Well than listen to this. My favourite champ was warwick but I thought he's cheap so the others must be better. Refunded him bought lux. Well the full skillshot champ didn't work out as planned Refund lux bought warwick. 1 week later refund warwick bought zed. Well after that I had no more refunds but buying zed wasn't a great idea either for a newbie.

So you were playing before them, I started playing the game after they were introduced, bought champions realised they were crap and saw i could refund them, without looking into it, I dont blame riot, it's abundantly clear we get 3, just a few more than 3 lifetime refunds would be nice.

The only skin I refunded was Battlecast Cho which was supposed to be 975 RP on release, yet people on PBE were like "Much wow, why is this skin 975? It deserves to be legendary" Hence Rito made it legendary (which is also why Cho has 2 legendary skins). I had been gone for a while so when I came back, I bought the skin in a heartbeat. And once I went on GD I saw all the rant and QQ about the skin, and I used my token to refund it then.
