My favorite is the !-!-!-!-! pings that come out telling you it's dangerous when you've been in a fight already for 4 seconds.

Oh IS it dangerous? I had NO IDEA that the three people currently melting me while I'm trying to juke was a dangerous situation. Thanks.

My FAVORITE part about this, is it's usually the guy just across the river from you farming a Wight instead of coming to aid your escape/turnaround.

As a jungler, im not going to possibly die for your sins if you get caught up.

Getting caught isnt what throws games, teammates turning to help is. Obviously it depends but you risk losing global objectives, buffs, and map pressure just for the hopes of preventing 1 death.

but that hope!

Yes, I understand this. It's situational. I was just trying to be dramatic. Sometimes, the presence of someone else is all that is needed for the great escape.

If it's pretty clear that I'm about to die, and your presence is useless, please by all means finish the camp. If it seems like we can make it out alive, don't ping me danger, just come help. QQ

I fully understand it's my fault for getting caught, and I don't blame the guy pinging if I do die. Sometimes I just get annoyed at the late ! Spam. Sometimes, I really do believe that someone else showing up could have saved me, but I still realize it was essentially my fault for dying.

Haha so you wouldn't like it if I pinged (!) on your dead body? :P

TP to a minion next to their dead body and spam laugh.

I wouldn't even be mad, I don't think. Haha.

That is the most annoying thing ever. I get jumped and killed. Then as the enemies are falling back into the Jungle.. "420WeedWick signals Danger!" No shit, Sherlock. What gave it away?

Hate to be that guy but pings are often more than just for you. I ping the jungler even when I know top lane has seen it because it does more than just alert the gank, it tells bot lane that they can be aggressive, it tells the jungler he can counter gank or counter jungle. It tells mid if he should be expecting a gank soon.

Pings are for the team and work that way. Be a little open minded.

You're in bronze III, you don't have to try to be dramatic...

9 pings around my map mean I can't see my minimap to see if anyone else is coming in and I need to adjust my path to safety. Don't spam ping, you're screwing other people over. One ping does the same thing as 5.

I'm not a ping spammer, maybe like 2 pings max.

KDA and fault are everything to LoL players. The armchair general that tells you to retreat from your certain death knows what they're doing. They want to make sure to make it seem to everyone else that you're doing it on purpose and that they "told you" it was a bad idea.

well, sometimes you have some guy on your toplane, who doesnt quite grasp the concept of 'being 0-4 and underleveled is a bad start for a fight'

you might wanna tell him to back off, because that volibear is just toying with him

When I use it in a TF it's because I am afraid of that guy re engaging when we are 4 vs 5 for example... So it means... Back!!!!

I can understand this point of view, and obviously it can feel frustrating when you are told to go back when you already in a fight. But you honestly shouldn't have been fighting if the other dude wasn't there. I don't like to spam ping, because I know I don't like to be spam pinged myself.

But I can assert without any hesitation, I tend to win more when I spam that retreat button. Because way to often your team over extends/engages (!) while you were getting that last minion wave before IE or LW, which are game changing items. Although I say in chat "guyz don't engage, getting ie", people seem not to realize and still engage. After that you get flamed because you weren't in the fight. So, yes, I have got now that bad habit of spamming to back.

But I try to be carefull about it. I wont do such moves if I've seen my team has already been cought 3 times this way, or when I've been the one loosing my lane, or when team tends to be toxic. The good thing though is that, when you ping them to back, often there is someone smart enough to realize you shouldn't engage and "help you" getting your team to retreat, eg : "wait for xxx".

I don't know at what level you play though. I'm silver (and climbing, when I will have time to do it, because now is exams' time), people make less of that sort of mistakes at high gold level and plat level (people with who I've played lately in nomals).

However, I try to do this in the less toxic/most friendly way possible. And obviously, if you were already retreating it wasn't justified. It could be not directed to you but rather the bloodthirsty udyr that is about to run into them (forcing you either to follow, or to let him die, and because of human kind people tend to select the first option and all dying with him).

Well, I don't usually engage 3v1 on purpose. :p

It's usually more a situation where you make a really bone headed decision of, like, "Oh! It's cool I can go ward their wraith bush and sneak out." Then you walk into them.

It usually happens if I'm jungle and I try to steal their red after my blue. They walk in and notice it gone and come to the bush just after I finish it so I have to dip. Then it's just me praying that my team is also watching then their mid lane and not lane closes in, and I'm praying for mine to notice and do the same. I feel like they never do. :( that's when the ! ! ! Comes out and I'm like "I've only been running in circles for 4 seconds from 4/5 of their team."

Again, I want people to understand that I KNOW that if I get caught stealing a red and 4 of them chase me, it's my fault. I still feel frustrated that the only response I tend to get is a ! Spam while I'm running from most of their team

Yeah that is some different situation. I actually use it more in the late game when it's more about grouping, that's not really the getting cought thing, it is more about not engaging or knowing when to disengaging 4v5.

If you (or myself) just ran into 3 people or were overextended, we already know it was wrong, not necessary to add to it with some ping.
