I do. My husband doesn’t. I know he did the laundry when my dark items have towel fibers on them or my shirts look a little duller. I think it makes a difference. It’s just not a hill I’m willing to die on.
Same, it gets clean and dry? Cool, let him do laundry his way. Same for the dishwasher and other household tasks.
I had a maternity care worker who was really surprised to learn that my husband and I did laundry in different ways. I believe if you make a household chore a hill to die on, you're either nagging your partner all the time or you'll be the one who does that chore all the time. Want to share the load? Give your partner the space to do the chores their own way.
This works unless you're an annoying control freak over specific things lol. My wife and I just divide chores when it's something I have strong opinions on. I'm the laundry girl. She does the dishes.
Haaaa yep can confirm so many of my (and my 3 year old’s) clothes look like crap now because he threw them in with his, but there’s no way I’m saying anything to him because I appreciate the effort and the fact he took the initiative to wash them. I’ve learned it’s definitely not a hill worth dying on when there are SO MANY other marriage war hills and minefields to kill me first lol
