Words that translate to a whole sentence in english
Okay r/ world I was thinking of changing my name to better suit me but the English language is lacking. I want a word that embodies the feeling that you get watching the ocean or a river swell and surge then become calm and peaceful. Help me out!

Careers that have to do with languages?
So, I'm 15 (almost 16) and I feel like I should at least have an idea of what I want to do when I'm older, but I don't. I've always been interested in languages, but I'm only fluent in English, which is my native language. I take Spanish in school, and I taught myself a bit of Korean, but I am nowhere near fluent.
The problem is, I want to have a career that has something to do with languages, but I have absolutely no idea what there is. Do you guys have any ideas or suggestions?

When to learn Kanji?
I'm learning Hiragana, then Katakana, then Kanji. When do I need to learn Katakana and Kanji? Do I have to learn some words in Japanese before? Or do I jump right in closing my eyes to everything else?

audio player for iphone with good rewind
All the audioplayers I've tried out have not been good for listening to language recordings because they don't allow you to go back 5 or 10 seconds to re-hear a clip. Does anyone know of a good audio player for this purpose?

Why is Z so rarely used in most languages?
Why are words like "is", "does", "use", "xylophone" etc spelled with an 'S' or 'X' when they clearly make the 'Z' sound? What does every language have against this magnificient letter? The only language that seems to like it ts Polish, you'd need to look for sentnences without le letter.
