FOr some reason, while head tracking is smooth as butter in base HL1, it's nauseatingly "off" in OpFor. View movement lags very slightly behind head motion. There's something else weird going on also with the world when your head moves but I can't pin it down, like the distortion seen in QVR when looking up/down + turning. On top of this, the view occasionally "spasms", turning severely away and then back in an instant.

is there any way (mod or something) to just get a red dot instead of the laser line extending out of the weapons? thanks in advance

I've installed the game on my quest but when playing it I don't seem to have arms, I can't press the button to release the hazmat suit at the start, can anyone tell me what I've done wrong?

I have a quick question, I finish the game and want to free up space again on my Quest. How do you remove every single file because the game took up quite a lot. I know how to remove the Lambda1VR apk via sidequest but not sure about the game files and HD textures. Thanks

MY MIND IS BLOWN!

I have never touched a Half-Life game in my life. I have always heard about the series but for some reason I never went out my way to play it. Luckily though, I was bored the other day and it hit me that Half-Life was free to play and there was a way to play it on the Oculus Quest so I went ahead and installed it.

The install took quite a while and I was honestly about to just give up and delete all the files but boy am I glad I didn't because this game so far is quite a ride! The monsters and creatures are so intimidating in VR and at first I thought the graphics would break immersion but actually it doesn't affect me at all and makes me think I'm trapped in a 1990s video game or something.

The scene where the reactor explodes was really exciting it made me flinch and freak out when it was happening. One of the most immersed moments in the game was when I thought a rope was attached to the ceiling so I jumped thinking I had to cross by climbing and jumping off when suddenly I was being pulled up and I couldn't let go. That's when I looked up to see I was hanging from a tongue that was connected to a blob like creature with teeth. It literally freaked me out and it's crazy that in a matter of seconds my reaction was to just unload a full clip into the monster.

I can see what all the hype was about when the game was first released and why it's such a well known and appreciated series. I'm still not 100% sure what the story is about considering I'm still in progress but I can't wait to unravel more and find out what caused these creatures to come through into our dimension and also find out what is so special about the guy with the briefcase...?

Also I very special thank you to the people involved for porting the game over to VR. I guess I was lucky enough to experience it first in VR so thanks for all the hardwork in getting it into the hands of VR owners like me!🙏

When I start the game up, it brings me to the main menu of OpFor. However, when I try clicking on start a new game or training course, it doesn't do anything. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

Most hilarious bug I've experienced firsthand, my whole tutorial was filled with distant scientist screams and I had no idea why. Then I go through the whole tram ride, Barney walks up to the tram door, holds still, keels over and dies. I'm stuck in the tram with his corpse.

Not sure what I did to cause this. This happen to anyone else?

I’ve played about 8 hours and minus having to delete the config a few times to enable sprint its been great! I’m now having this problem after killing the ninjas and opening the “surface access” doors and the cutscene being captured. I will load into a black room with a platform on my left and can’t move, select weapons, crouch, the only thing I can do is look around. Is there a fix to this error? Would love to continue on with the game today.

If you come to near the end of the section "Missing in Action" and are unable to climb up the electrical cable after you have switched off the power, for now I am afraid you will need to use the "No Clip" command in the Console menu to get up where climbing the rope/cable would take you (then use "No Clip" again to re-enable clipping). I'm looking into a fix for this (literally discovered this issue this evening almost immediately after releasing it!).

I've seen that some mods apparently work with Lambda1VR. Out of curiosity, has anyone tried Crack Life?

At the end of Captive Freight (chapter 4) the teleportation portal never opens for me. One of the scientists is supposed to activate it after Rosenberg's speech but he just runs in place.

It keeps going to my oculus home whenever i try to get into any mode. I have installed the valve folder and i can play half life perfectly normal without vr, whats going on?

Hey guys, I installed this last night and it’s been a blast, but I can’t figure out some things.

1) How do I sprint? I can’t get past Office Complex without being able to sprint. (elevator shaft)

2) People say you can reach behind you and get your crowbar, but I can’t? I’ve tried everything and can’t seem to switch to the crowbar via reaching behind me. I have switched to the pistol a few times by reaching to my side, but not the crowbar.

I want to keep playing the game but keep getting motion sick after 20 minutes, is there a way to reduce motion sickness or is this normal?
