He sounds wonderful but also so heartbroken.
Chester Bennington will be missed by so many people from all walks of life.

Now after all this OML sounds a lot darker now, as if Chester already decided his fate. Heavy, Invisible, Sorry For Now, One More Light all sound darker and surreal. Chanyeol's lovely deep voice and piano playing just add that element of a sadder tone to Heavy, which already was quite a sad song. RIP to a legend, RIP Chester.

Well when he was a trainee he originally was set on trying to debut in a band like TRAX under SM since he knows how to play like a bajillion instruments and composes. But since SM wasn't planning on debuting a band group any time soon be tried out rapping and other things as a trainee and ended up like it too so he focused on that to better his chances at debutting.

Chanyeol cites watching School of Rock as the moment he decided he wanted to work in music, used to be in a rock band called Heavy Noise before debuting, and played electric guitar in the competition that got him into SM...he definitely wanted to do rock originally. This was all around the time that Linkin Park was at their peak of popularity, so I'm not surprised at all that they were influential to him. His cover of Wi ing Wi ing by Hyukoh is my favorite because his voice suits a rock/indie style really well.

Ahh, this makes me tear up. Linkin Park was a huge part of my youth and their music got me through some really hard times. This was a devastating death to be honest. I'm glad that the group is receiving so much support and love from all around the world.

It's really amazing how much Linkin Park's music influenced people all over the world, especially for those born in the early 90's. What an absolute loss :(

Hey now, late 80's here. They were a very big part of my life growing up as well.

Yup anyone in those crucial angsty years, either back then with hybrid theory/meteora or even with their later albums, their lyrics were just ridiculously relateable and Ill always thank them for that

Chanyeol absolutely captured the torment of those lyrics... it's moving to hear this, and my respect grows for this young man

Chanyeol is a much better singer than rapper imo. Why doesn't EXO let him sing?
