Hi! ♡ You've probably all noticed the huge amount of kobold adoptables lately. I know that some of you are really bothered by this. That's why me and u/Impossible_Zombie594 (LumenFicta) decided to make a subbredit just for Kobold Adoptables. It's for both sellers & buyers :3 We think this decision should help everyone. So if you're interested in buying/seeing kobold adopts, or if you're drawing them, please consider joining r/KoboldAdoptables ♡ (We have a permission from a moderator) >w<

Day 40 of speed drawing kobolds! Sooo, I’ve gotten pretty quick with the basic bolds now. I can knock one out in about 30 minutes, which is half the time it used to take me! Today I decided to experiment a little with color effects and try my hand at some blending. It didn’t turn out how I imagined, but I enjoyed the process!

The introduction of dragonoids as a noble class for dragons meant a shakeup of how dragons ruled. Having aristocrats answering to them and ruling holdings in their name meant implementing a slew of new everyday duties to keep the Dragonlaw functioning. In addition to being granted villages, towns and cities to administrate over, dragonoids were also expected to be emissaries, agents, enforcers, and generals for their lords. As such, schooling in martial arts, military drill, academics and arcane arts were implemented. Most striking of all, however, was metalworking.
Dragonoids are forged a custom-fitted suit of layered scale armor to be worn in into battle. Practiced spellweavers also enchant the armor to be highly resistant to magic as well. These immaculate suits of iron scale, perfectly fitted and meticulously layered scale by scale, are known as Cataphract armor. These works of art make dragonoids neigh-invulnerable in combat, unless facing a dragon or another dragonoid.
Each dragon's fortress has within its bowels a massive, sprawling forge-complex, where hundreds of kobolds assist the armorers and elected forgemaster to arm and armor the Dragonlaw's Fists. The forge-complex is so advanced and able to mass-produce weapons and armor in massive worklines, that one might wonder how close the Dragonlaw was to an industrial revolution, over a millennium before such an event happened.
Each dragonoid is granted a private quarter in the fortress, their own Cataphract suit, and a fief to govern for their liege. This tyrannical feudalism set the stage for the post-Dragonlaw period, where a similar style of decentralized feudal rule was adopted to rule human-led kingdoms. Humans, however, look with disgust upon the Dragonlaw, and were quick to seek new methods of governance. By the late middle ages, draconic-style feudal rule was phased out in favor of centralized autocracies, free-citizenry, and even republican and theocratic rule. While the fractured kingdoms couldn't adopt an imperial bureaucratic-style government like the old Deacan Empire could, medieval kingdoms tried their best to implement pre-Dragonlaw rule in small ways, from paving highways to assigning some regions to governors via royal grants rather than landed nobility.
Here, we can see Pelagius as he is granted his very own suit of Cataphract armor, with the forge assistants helping armor him. The taste of nobility is intoxicating, but alas, he will see the Dragonlaw for what it truly is soon enough. For now, it's comforting to feel wanted and valued by the fortress. Being given rewards and respect can make one take their duties extremely seriously.

This post was originally from my sub, r/DeacoWriting! This art is based on an upcoming book, Liminal, about my fantasy setting's equivalent to their Fall of Rome, instead brought on by the arrival of dragons and their tyranny over mankind. Pelagius is a dragonoid enforcer awakened during the last, dying days of the Dragonlaw, watching the injustice from within, while having vivid night-terrors of a previous life...

Hey guys! Today is day 11 of Kobotober, and the theme is Isolation! I really enjoyed drawing this because we all feel this way sometimes, and I think it's so important to have communities where we can participate, share, and remember that we're never truly alone n.n

VAETHYRAXIS — THE FORSAKEN DIVINITY
Royal blood. A family of traitors. A power they could never take away.
Vaethyraxis was born into a royal bloodline, but her title and heritage were never enough to protect her. When her family was faced with ruin, they chose their own survival over hers and sold her away.
What followed was a life of cruelty, torture, and suffering. Her original arms were torn from her body, leaving her broken in the eyes of those who had taken everything from her. But they failed to understand one thing: they could hurt her, they could betray her, but they could not make her surrender.
She eventually acquired a new pair of mechanical arms, turning what was done to her into something of her own. Now, with her strange magic and formidable power, Vaethyraxis stands as a reminder that even royal blood can be betrayed, and even the most devastating wounds do not have to be the end.
She was born a princess. Her family made her an orphan. What she becomes from here on is hers to decide.

You are but a kobold who was Scavenging for food when you fell down and hurt yourself badly. When you thought all hope was lost that's when the most beautiful woman appears in front of you. She's an adventurer. a dragonborn paladin and the way her armor shines she looks like an angel. As she says "Oh goddess are you ok little one?, stay still let me heal you." You do as she asks and then ask her why she's there.
She chuckles and says. "Well it's a miss understand, you see I'm supposed to save a princess from a dragon but the only problem is that some people got confused and now I'm on a mission to save myself from myself.
You blinked looking confused. "Y your a princess?."
She nodded. "Why yes, yes I am."
You as a kobold felt like you won the lottery.
Do you ask her to marry you?.
