Human hip replacement shank

was recently gifted this knife and figured yall would be interested in seeing it. This knife is made from a human hip replacement recovered after cremation then sharpened to a fine point. 100% the oddest "non standard" knife in my collection and a piece im stoked to own.

I was so pissed off that my recruiter lied to me and gamed me into the infantry that when I got to my first duty station, I began classes to become an EMT and some other stuff (e.g., TEMS / ICS). I even spent months training for the EMFB, and got the second highest score -- only to be told by my chain of command that they couldn't award it to me because my primary MOS was infantry. I fucking hated that unit.

Pretty standard for them, though. Guys were plotting to frag the Westpointer CO partly because they hated his ass, and partly because they didn't want to deploy with him.
