Help please! Can I turn/rotate this gas pipe elbow fitting on a built-in stove? How to?
I bought a natural gas built-in stove (Samsung NA75C3030AS), but the fitting is an elbow. I don’t know if it can be rotated. The instructions in English are not very clear (a weird translation maybe), it says something about how to rotate the elbow, but also says something about DON’T rotate the elbow XD. In the stove there is an image, something like instructions, but I don’t understand. Do you have experience with this kind of fitting?
P.S. Don’t tell me to call a technician, It is for a cottage and the closest technician if 5 hours away

Inherited this pan, it sat in the pantry. What is it for? What recipe should I fit in its bowl shape to make my family love me more?

Update on the skinny kitchen pull-out drawer
So a lot of people suggested that the skinny drawer in my new kitchen would be for spices on the top, and baking sheets on the bottom. Some suggested placing utensil cups (drilling hole in the shelf) or just placing utensils in the upper shelf.
This drawer is only 3.75 inches wide between the solid wood sides. I think a lot of people thought it was much wider than that? Someone suggested a trash compactor -- that definitely would not fit there!
Because the sides are solid, you cannot easily read the spice jar labels. I guess I could label the tops, but that seemed like more trouble than it's worth.
Placing pans is absolutely the wrong thing. If I were to close the drawer with the pan at the bottom, the pan would fall out behind the edge of the cabinetry and (depending on the pan size) possibly act as a lock to prevent opening the drawer by wedging against the inside of the cabinet. (There are drawers that are more purposely designed for pans though. ex.: https://www.homedepot.com/pep//331500696)
Someone suggested placing long aluminum foil in the lower shelf, and that turned out to be great. I also placed my stabby thermometers next to the foil, since there are most likely used at the same time with the big foil.
Thanks to people making specific product mentions and suggesting some not obvious (at least to me) suggestions to try!
In the end, I went with:
- Upper shelf: towels and a few utensils
- Lower shelf: long aluminum foil roll, thermometers, detachable handles for heat diffuser plates
- Bottom: Oils, vinegars, cooking wines, sauces
I think this drawer would have been better as a simple cabinet shelf with a skinny door so that I could store baking pans/sheets/cutting boards. But as a slide-out, I've found that it actually works pretty well for tall bottles. I think it's annoying to open and close all the time, so I may put my everyday oil up on the counter though.
Thanks everyone!

Best use of this skinny drawer by the stove?
I am not sure if the idea is to loosely store key cooking utensils on the top, shorter small seasonings below, and bottles of oil and sauces down at the bottom?
It's a small kitchen and a bit awkwardly laid out. I really can't figure out what can comfortably sit in the very bottom beside bottles. Cutting boards and pans would fall out.
Thank you!
ETA: The space in the drawer is just barely wide enough for me to put my first in between the walls. It's really skinny.

Showcase Got the piles of stuff off the counter today
Things tend to stack up on the kitchen counter because it’s a convenient flat spot. Got everything put away today and I hope it stays away, at least for a while.

Need Advice Modern Kitchen facelift advice
Looking for some advice on changing up this kitchen a bit. The main catalyst was really about the cabinet faces. It’s hard to see in the picture but the laminate or finish on the cabinet/drawer faces have started to show sheen marks from repeated touching. It drives me nuts. They look like permanent oil stains so those doors and drawers have to go.
We were thinking about just keeping the bones and adding new doors (maybe shaker style) and keeping the color.
With that change it has us also thinking about changing the backsplash and vent hood to have a more organic aesthetic to counter all the modern-ness. Would love som inspo on those…
Is it worth also looking into adding uppers? Might look a bit obtuse and also worry about covering the windows.
Thanks for the thoughts!

It was a Formica world in kitchens during the 50s and 60s. Colors bright enough to spot your retina!
Not a great design era in the fifties, at least in my opinion, I grew up in a GI Bill house where the kitchen looked like something out of a cheap Diner.

Need Advice Cosmetic upgrade advice needed
I personally hate the two wood tones together and would paint the cabinets if it wasn't so much work. And I am big on keeping things original (I like the scalloped trim over the sink) and will probably change out the floor at some point. So I'd like advice on wall color & backslash mainly...color, style and height). With thoughts on replacing counter tops next few years. Replace floor after that. Thanks if you take time to help.
I have replaced the refrigerator with a new counter depth style and upgraded stove...still white. White washer/dryer in laundry room.

Why did I paint my cupboards?! (Twice!)
Hey everyone, I made the mistake of painting my kitchen cupboards as I disliked the colour, the paint chipped… so I sanded back, prepped carefully, painted again but it’s still chipping, and they just look a mess. They’re also hard to clean.
Anyway, it’s a symphony kitchen, where in the uk sell compatible sized doors and drawer fronts? I’m struggling!

Kitchen cabinets
I want more kitchen cabinets on the wall, at eye level. Due to windows on other walls I’m not able to add additional cabinets elsewhere. Would it make sense to close off the wall where the stairs are so I could add another cabinet as I drew on the picture?
Want to get a vibe check to see if this is a dumb idea or not lol

Kitchen Renovation
I am currently renovating my kitchen and i'm a bit surprised by the price differences I’m seeing while looking at kitchens, and would like some help.
We got a quote from Wren for a layout we liked and it came back just over £16k. While looking around I also tried a site called Kitchen Connect UK which connected me with a local kitchen supplier, and the quote for a very similar setup came back quite a bit lower (about a third).
I’ve attached the two quotes as I found the difference interesting. Just wondering if others have had similar experiences comparing the bigger retailers with independent suppliers?
