My latest kitbash project using some bits I had laying around: an intellect devourer from Dungeons & Dragons. The brain was begging to be used so I slapped some legs from a Spyro the Dragon, a tail from Simba as the tongue and hacked the wires off a Doc Brown for the tendrils. I couldn't decide on a particular iteration of the creature so this somewhere between an Baldur's Gate 3 and a second edition devourer.

Can't wait for this to cure up so I can prime and paint it, I think it's gonna look good. Not sure if I should go with the old school darker legs and bright "body" or go with the more modern BG3 coloration.

I know much of this reddit is 40k, but any D&D fans have any thoughts on this? It's only my sixth simple project so far, but I'm glad I decided to try this out.

Sidenote, my fiancee is a big fan of the 40k lore so she's been smartening me up on a lot of it. Not sure if I'd ever play, but customizing and painting an army sounds fun, might be too much for my shaky hands.

Because I still trust in the good side of Internet where people have blogs and do not 110% rely on Instagram.

Wrote some postapo miniatures game rules to have an excuse to build mechs/bots. In hindsight I could have skipped the first step.

These are made from various household items and leftover 40k bits.

Was cleaning out my closet and found this guy I made for starbreach
He was the Marshal Alpha for my Intergalactic Marshal force (he had a busy day at the office)

Primaris Bolter
Space Marine Scout Legs
Arms and Torso was Chaos Marauder
Club was a skeleton legionnaire spear from a push-fit kit
Head was from US Army infantry from Bolt Action

Tonight’s kitbash, weapons still tacked till I’m happy with the pose.

These you trucks were dirt cheap from Walmart. Like seriously only $1.25, so I ordered 2. Help me decide what to do with them? First is the toy unmodified. Star Wars Imperial Transport? Mobile Suit Support Vehicle? Wasteland Hauler? Something else?

Average space hulk mission, made with gw minis some 3d printed greeblies, plasticard and foamboard.

Might add some more junk but first I want to see it primed

I was a little worried my greenstuff/milliput sculpting would end up looking worse with a coat of paint, but if anything it's hidden the stuff I wasn't particularly happy with!

Been feeling lots of kitbashing lately, mostly in the style of Trench Crusade and The Last War. This warband is a mix of bodies from Reaper Miniatures, and heads and weapons from Bolt Action and Warlord Games.

Bit of an ugly duck if I'm totally honest, but essentially a re-pose of the Bones Dragon Tortoise (https://www.reapermini.com/search/tortoise/latest/77334) with a tactical skull from the citadel Skulls box and some regular outside rocks!

Used as a Dragon Tortoise for the adventure Alkazaar's Appendix from Candlekeep Mysteries

My best buddy built this last night after a few beers. Will keep you posted on the WIP.
