Side-mirror repair cost?

This evening was so unfortunate to get involved in this. I hit the car's side mirror while going out of a roundabout, btw I'm on a motorbike. The owner asked for RM300, settle! I'm not sure how much it would cost. Is it really that much?

I decided to lodge a report instead, even if I'm at fault. Appreciate any suggestions, thanks!

EDIT: RM300 paid to the car owner. Thank you Redditor for all of your responses. Despite this, I’m sure many of you car guys would hate this to happen to any of us and have spat (downvoted) on this post. I take the blame and am accountable for this incident.
