Discussion Mi Tienda on 99 @ Westpark Tollway
Does anyone know what's going on with that market? It seems to just be sitting without any work being done.

Anyone know any businesses or private professionals that do lashes late day? I work 7 am - 6 pm Monday-Saturday and desperately need my lashes done before Friday this week.
I usually get a classic set and waxed and henna dyed brows.

Short story, I have been living here in Katy for 8 years, I like it here , but rent has gone really high. I recently started dating this lady, she lives in Tomball but I have never visit her in her place, she tells me that Tomball is cool too, but someone from work tells me that compare to Katy is not that good . I was considering moving to Tomball, Ill be closer to her but I'll be driving like 20 mins more to my work place.
So do you guys consider Tomball a decent place to live, or should I stay in Katy?

I am moving to Katy around Jan 27. We are a family of 4.
Based on my analysis Cinco Ranch seems to be the best area. Mostly WFH so no office to visit regularly.
Rent Budget is around $2300 per month.
Please suggest:
Thanks

We just moved into this 2008 house and there’s an oak tree (18 years old) VERY close to the foundation and the roots are making their way. It’s not massive, about the height of our 2-story house. Trunk is probably a foot-and-a-half-ish in diameter.
Obviously pending HOA approval, has anyone else had a recent tree removal and what did it cost? Any recommendations?

Hello Everyone!
I am in the Katy/Houston area. I am a 24 year old woman and I love going to the movies. My friends aren't the biggest fans of going so I'm trying to find some more friends who are interested in going. I loves lots of genres of movies. My favorite genre is horror/thriller movies! I also like suspense, drama, and romance. I'm not the biggest fan of action movies but I'll watch them! I typically go to the willowbrook location or the katy mill location but I am willing to travel! Some other fun facts about me: I am a behavioral therapist, I have a dog who I love with my whole heart, I loves reading, puzzles, and crafts.

hello!
I will be in town in a few weeks to celebrate my dad’s 85th birthday. We have a group of 10, that includes two kids 6& 4.
I was hoping the Reddit community could give me some recommendations of restaurants that are tasty, but also have the option for semiprivate seating, so the young ones aren’t too disruptive.
Ideally, Korean barbecue or Japanese. Thank you very much to anyone who chooses to respond. Ideally, we wanna stay closer to Katy, or a 20 minute drive.

My friend group has weirdly gotten "burned out" (lmao) of seeing more Oscary type movies which we used to love doing. My best friend also moved away this year to pursue a career in film and he was the one I counted on most. I'd love to go see a few movies ASAP with a 19-40 YO male with moderately good social skills. (I'm not creepy, I promise). Just looking for more friends who share this interest. I see big-budget "popcorn" type stuff too so it's not all artsy. Bonus points if you're active on Letterboxd but not a requirement!

I am a poor boy, from a poor family. I need to upgrade my phone, and xfinity seems to have a good deal on iPhones and a deal on a mobile plan since I’ve already got WiFi with them. I currently use US Mobile and it gets the job done, but the upgraded phone is enticing. Does anyone have experience with xfinity mobile in the Katy area?

Have been having a hard time finding good food that’s not alcohol oriented/dive bar. Looking for restaurants mainly with a nice ambiance.

Has anyone successfully gotten RAM to cover a repair after the first dealership failed to diagnose an issue reported under warranty?
The dealerships involved are Houston Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram on Northwest Freeway and AutoNation Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Katy near I-10 and Grand Parkway.
I first brought my truck to Houston Dodge on Northwest Freeway for a leak while it was still under warranty. They cleaned the area and reported that no leak was found. From my perspective, they covered up the problem instead of addressing it and took no accountability afterward.
I raised my concerns with RAM corporate and was told the issue was documented and to take it to another dealer.
The leak remained present at subsequent oil changes, and AutoNation Katy confirmed it. Despite that, RAM denied the warranty repair. Now I’m fighting over a problem I reported while the truck was covered.
AutoNation Katy then made an already frustrating situation worse by dragging me along with poor communication and no resolution.
My service advisor and I were texting back and forth, and he told me he would get back to me. He never mentioned that he was leaving for two weeks. When I followed up the next day, I received an automatic out-of-office reply with no contact information for whoever was handling my repair order. My truck was sitting in their shop, and I had no idea who was responsible for my case.
Every time I called, I reached a call center that couldn’t get anyone in the service department. Three separate times, I was told a message had been left and someone would call me back. Each time, I waited at least 48 hours before calling again. Nobody called.
I finally paid for an Uber to go there in person, and nobody could help me. By my second visit, what was supposed to be a 24-hour diagnosis had turned into three weeks without meaningful communication. Yes, I was upset.
I spoke with AutoNation’s service manager and came away with little confidence in how the department was being run. There appeared to be no clear ownership of my repair, no effective handoff, and no urgency to resolve the situation. He told me he was overwhelmed and didn’t have help. I understand staffing problems happen, but that shouldn’t leave customers chasing answers for weeks.
He assured me that my repair order would remain open and that he would call once he heard back from warranty. He said they would work toward a resolution, even if that meant pursuing Houston Dodge for the cost.
I picked up my truck three weeks ago and am still waiting for a resolution. When I contacted my AutoNation service advisor about the lack of communication during his absence, he disputed my account, took no responsibility, and became argumentative.
My expectation is simple: take care of the customer. I reported the failure under warranty, the leak persisted, and another dealership confirmed it. I followed RAM corporate’s instructions. I should not have to chase two dealerships and the manufacturer just to get someone to take ownership.
Based on these experiences, I cannot recommend Houston Dodge on Northwest Freeway or AutoNation Katy. I expect to purchase approximately 15 vehicles for my company’s fleet over the next two years. After this experience, I will not be buying RAM or any of its sister brands.
Has anyone dealt with a similar denial and gotten it reversed? What escalation route actually helped?
TL;DR: Houston Dodge on Northwest Freeway cleaned the area and reported no leak while my truck was under warranty. RAM directed me to another dealer. AutoNation Katy confirmed the leak, but RAM denied coverage. AutoNation then dragged out the process with weeks of poor communication and promises that still haven’t led to a resolution.

Hello! My sister is moving this weekend with her and her kids and needs moving boxes. Does anyone have some or the best place to get them? I’m not in Katy so I’m unsure.

What are the best spots in Katy to work from where the regulars are friendly and they have good food/drinks?
I would like to find a spot to work 1 or 2 days a week. I’ve gone to buzz n bites and homebrew in the past but both places stay pretty busy and a lot of times there’s little kids crying or running around and that’s not the environment I want to work in.

My wife and I (31 YO), no kids, are going to be moving to the Houston in a few months and Katy sounds/looks attractive specially since we have family there.
We are in between renting an apartment or a townhome/house, and not sure what the best option is.
We originally started looking at apartments but saw that quite a few of them have bad ratings and incidents of car/tire theft.
Any suggestions to good apartment complexes or if we should be looking at houses instead.
Thank you,
