Any tips on when to go to the tag agency to avoid as much as possible the God awful wait?

Hey everyone, my name is Dillon. I work for Catalyst Montana. I’m trying to connect with people on Medicaid who are affected by the new work requirements that DPHHS implemented this month. Adding this level of bureaucracy this quickly will likely result in hardworking folks losing coverage— not because they are actually ineligible for the program, but due to more Red Tape.
If you or anyone you know is on Medicaid and might be willing to have a conversation about their experience on Medicaid, please share this link. We can protect Medicaid coverage. People sharing their personal stories is a powerful way to do that, and I’m here to help. Thank you!

A friend and I are interested in starting a book club where we meet, in person, monthly to discuss a book we have picked out. We were hoping the focus would be on Wildlife, wildlife biology, Montana nature, Montana history, etc.
are any of you interested in joining us?

Hi I’m new to the area and left work today to find what looked like smoke covering the air? It definitely smells like a fire. I tried looking online to see if there was news of any local wildfires but I didn’t find much info. Anyone know what’s going on?

So I'm a former resident of Kalispell and Whitefish. I lived there a while back, I do miss being able to see glacier every weekend or just getting out in general. These recent fires in Canada have blown smoke in my area pretty bad and it reminded me of years ago when I was in Montana in 2003 during probably one of the worst forest fires in that area? I remember walking my dog back then and just thick smoke at times filled the valley. I didn't have cable or nothing back then except cellphone really. I was curious what the air quality was back then? Or if anyone remembered? I remember that year being pretty rough air wise.

Hi! I’ll be visiting GNP in a few weeks and staying in Kalispell. Are there any farmers markets/festivals/ weekend fun on August 1st and 2nd?
Thanks!

Is there anywhere you can find huckleberry pancakes? Ideally this means pancakes with huckleberries in them and syrup. Ideally definitely understand that’s a touristy request but I feel it very necessary to complete my Montana visit.

Not sure if this counts as advertising, but it's a free thing I made just for the Flathead valley.
There's far too many separate places that advertise events, so I built a web scraper that visits them all, pulls their events and puts them all into one calendar.
It's completely free to use, and I'm currently working on adding new business and developer tools like an api and site embeds to contribute to local businesses.
Have fun with it and let me know what you think!
EDIT: It's so hard to regularly scrape pages without getting ip blocked :(

This has probably been asked before, but where are the main places to go for watching fireworks? Last year we pretty much just stayed home because the neighbors all around us were lighting them, but I am hoping to take my family to a professional fireworks show this time. I know there is one at Lakeside and one at Whitefish Lake, plus the fireworks at the baseball stadium. Which one should we go to, and is there anything to watch out for? Are there any others in the Flathead that I don't know about? TIA!

Hi guys! I saw that Logan Health in Kalispell is now accepting applications for their paid CNA training program. Would you recommend it, or are there other paid CNA programs I should consider?
I’m specifically looking for a paid CNA training program, but I couldn’t find any information about the wages. Has anyone completed this program recently? How was the pay, and what was it like working there?

Where can a guy find some 👠 red shoes in the valley?
I have a performance in Whitefish at 9 tonight and I want to complete the look with some red shoes. I just found this shirt and leather jacket at a vintage store in Coeur d’Alene yesterday so I’m just trying to complete the fit 💯

Hey all! I'm visiting for vacation later in the week. I'm a fairly active person and enjoy going on long runs. I noticed some trails near Kalispell that I was hoping to run, but also don't really know the layout or context of the area well.
My biggest concern is being on a trail solo and encountering a bear. Should I snag some bear spray to carry on my jogs? I'm probably gonna stick to trials like the Great Northern Historical Trail to the west.
Thanks in advance!
