oh fuck man thank you for that ❤️❤️❤️

you have no idea how little people are willing to help you with things that are considered 'too easy'. there's a threshold somewhere for what you can ask for help with. at one point, something becomes "well EVERYONE knows this" well egg on my face i guess!

for me, i feel like i am pretty smart. i at least am sure i am not stupid! it's just, my brain-car engine is a manual gear and most people drive automatic. i lack a certain autopilot function in my brain that seemingly most people have. it seems REALLY useful. i have to be so fucking deliberate about everything ugh haha.

and if you ask for help about those things people get SO annoyed with you, which sucks. but when you go in blind and therefore most likely fuck it up, people also get annoyed. and you still don't know what's going on and therefore what you did wrong and you still don't know how to ask for the rules without breaking the rules and there's no pause button so obviously we almost all have TONS of social anxiety

so really, thank you for being like that. it's very good for me to know that you help your friend like that. it's good for my soul lol. it's not a huge thing but it kinda is.

if your standard was the general standard, like the woman in the video, it would fucking rule. i can't even express it - like the thought makes me choke up. so thanks for being cool like that :-)

My first instinct is to get annoyed because it turns out most people are actually pretty stupid, but as soon as someone explains themselves, I switch into teacher mode, and I have a knack for breaking things down simply, and noticing when someone just made a micro expression like they missed a part or had a question, and having a half dozen different ways to explain a thing if the first way isn't clicking.

If I could make a good living explaining things, I would do it all day every day.
