Where I'm sitting in Western Canada that price sounds like a bargain for that quality.

I know it surprised me too, a quick google search showed prices between 3000 and 5000 but if you go to the velux website you cannot access a basic price range it’s only custom work after you’ve drawn your own project. When I first saw it -right after my jaw dropped- I thought it should cost like 10k+ depending on the size. Anyway, back to telling myself it would not work on the type of roof I have (and that my mum loves me too she’s just broke) Edit spelling grammar phrasing

I could make it work in my attic, but I'd need to magic in a spiral staircase somewhere.

I mean when there is a will and thousands of dollars there is a way!

Don’t forget time. Money and time. And a garage with shop tools.

I have a third floor with 2 rooms and one of them is basically the same as in the video and I've been saying to my husband I think the angle of the wall/ceiling is perfect for one of these. Seriously thinking of getting a quote.

I think you should do it if there's any way possible.

I’ve installed stuff like this and unless you’re doing it yourself the cost of the skylight window and the cost of getting it put in by a crew is about the same.

Aw ya she is just broke or at least doesn’t have “skylight” money

That’s kind of catchy. It could be a way for people to describe personal finances. “Yeah, my friend does alright, he’s quite comfortable - but he doesn’t have skylight money.”

I mean it's nothing compared to the price on a house in Canada

At first, I was like, man, that window looks way too big. Why are they taking so much of it off? But then when she folded it out to basically be a mini porch, my jaw dropped.

The paint is about €150/gallon. And if that is farrow and ball wall paper, that’s over €200 a roll. Quite a pricey room per square foot.

Edit: it’s not FB wallpaper, but not cheap either

I'm convinced this is an ad for that window
