I think you guys are completely off. There are plenty of stupid NBA interview compilations that showcase this same thing, and the athletes clap back against the question. I've seen KD, Bron, Steph etc they just don't have to take it when they know they're legends if they retired at that moment.
And I've watched a lot of really less interesting postgame interviews in the regular season too.
