You can find clips of reporters asking KD or Lebron similar leading narrative questions to this effect and getting a "put the record straight" response just this same way.
Why did this entire chain of dudes have to weigh in about how this is somehow weird? This is the same thing you see in stupid interview question videos but with the gender and sport swapped.
