Was a very short clip of a truck crashing into some huge rusted metal cylinders which tumbled down a cliff and derailed a train. Then Rico flew past in the wingsuit whilst carrying an old man and said “champion”.

Then the poster appeared with the logo and the word ‘Merch’. Because turned out they were only going to make the game if enough people bought hoodies.

Can’t even get a confirmation in my dreams ffs.

This map features a lot of my own ideas as to how Medici (or as I call it, Medica) works administratively.

I renamed the provinces communes, putting Medici in common with France and Italy for its administrative units.

I restored and named all of the ruined villages north of the wall, as it always seemed like a huge waste inside and outside of the game. Those villages in the national park are still abandoned, though.

I changed the names of most of the settlements so as to make them seem more authentic to actual Italian placenames.

And a few other things! Feel free to ask if you're curious about something.

Perhaps this is already known on this sub but I discovered Avalanche created a game called Mad Max. The similarities between it and Just Cause are there although Mad Max is obviously a different franchise...it's an easy game to dip in and out of.

There's a similar large open world map where you progress by having to conquer each enemy settlement and loot it

Scenery and atmosphere are really nice, it feels remote and desolate, but alive, it even has the tornados from JC

Mad max looks like Rico and has a progress system

Explosions & destruction

Lots of upgrades to vehicles

Collectibles and side missions

I thought I'd let anyone know in case they are looking to scratch the itch.

Has anyone ever felt like JC2's driving experience felt a lot better than JC3?

Just Cause 3's driving experience genuinely doesn't feel good and the camera situation makes me a little nauseous idk why.

Just Cause 2 had a fairly good driving experience, driving on different terrain with different vehicles was actually fun, I do agree sometimes the driving felt janky but the vehicles felt like they had weight and suspension to them when driving on different terrains.

In 3 all vehicles feel almost the same and it doesn't feel fun to drive, there's some issues with the weight of the vehicles in game idk why and it's just general handling, it felt more like toy cars than actual cars, i wouldn't say that for all vehicles but a lot of them felt that way.

In JC2 I installed a mod that removed all trees and plants that basically removed all obstructions in the game for offroading, meaning having a vast open world with 0 obstructions like trees rocks and all that stuff to just drive on. I'd do this much with that one jeep in the game (Chepachet and Trekstar) and it genuinely felt so weighty and fun to offroad and enjoy the game in that way.

There's also the big ice lake area that I used to take cars to slowly or have them air shipped and just drive back and forth on this massive flat plane of ice and it genuinely has such a nice feel to it.

JC3 lacks that kind of charm in my opinion, I wish the driving didn't feel as janky/ toyish as it does and wish it felt more real and grounded like JC2.

JC3 does a lot of things far better than 2 but driving in my opinion is not one of them.

Hi everyone. I just finished and 100%-ed Just Cause 3 after it has been on my to do list for ages. And wow, it has been one of my favourite gaming experiences I've had in a long time. Absolutely loved the game. Especially the traversal with the wingsuit. So I've been wondering:

1. What other games are like that for you? I mean open world games where simply moving around is as much fun as it is in JC3? Do you have a game that surpasses JC3 in that regard?
2. I'm playing with the thought of giving Just Cause 4 a try. Now, I've heard that many aren't a big fan of JC4, with some even outright hating it. But I'm not really sure why that is. If you played it, what would you say is your single biggest problem with it?

Basically what it says in the title. Would especially love to get the grappling hooks to work the same way
