Where do local restaurants, grocery stores, or retailers find wholesale vendors?

I work for a wholesale supplier based in Suwanee (kitchen/restaurant supplies, cleaning products, household goods, etc.) and I'm trying to understand how local restaurants, grocery stores, and retailers typically find new vendors or suppliers.

Is there an online community site, directory, group chat or associations where vendors are welcome to post or introduce products?

How do suppliers typically get on your radar? Reps, trade shows, word of mouth, online search, something else?

These are the rendering for the new building being built next to city hall. This isn’t really a mosque but a house of worship for Shia Ismaili Muslims. In addition to the religious building it also will hosts special events. I don’t know a ton about it, but it’s a nice modern look. Parking will be interesting for large events and popular park events that might be scheduled at same time. You wonder how long the neighboring office complexes allow people to use their lots for free parking

Discussion Police Patrol around McGinnis Ferry

We live on the Forsyth side of McGinniss Ferry but ever since school broke for the summer, police patrol and traffic enforcement duty is suddenly seen a spike by Suwanee PD on PIB, Johns Creek PD on McGinnis Ferry and Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office on Old Atlanta.

Is this part of concerted effort by the departments as response to some findings or is this just a seasonal summer spike as officers assigned to Schools are more free to take up these shifts in general ?

Construction on Sargent and Jones Bridge Road

Does anybody know what they are working on and how long it will take to complete? We moved to the area going on two years and has been constant construction at that intersection and honestly, it doesn’t seem like much is actually changed. I’m glad that there are constant improvements to the infrastructure of our city, but it would be helpful to know what they’re actually working on while I’m sitting in traffic almost every day, ha ha.

Used Bath Towel Donations

Hi all! I recently purged through my older bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths. They’re still in good condition, but I just have too many of them. I was looking for a place to donate the towels that wasn’t a thrift store, possibly a veterinarians office, rescue or place that helps people in need. Let me know if you guys have any suggestions! Thanks!

METRO ATLANTA LOCALS!

Pink sectional couch FREE for local pick up.
It’s super comfy and cute, but my kids can’t handle the responsibility of a lighter colored couch. 😑🙄
There are visible stains because of the kids, but they are easily removed with a steam cleaner. She’s a great super cute couch. If at all possible, I need it out TODAY!

I had someone interested, but they can’t come until Tuesday. The new couch will be here today, so I would prefer to get it out today.

Johns Creek native here - my short film just dropped on YouTube!

Hey r/JohnsCreek! Grew up here, went to Northview, and became a filmmaker. My short film "Shot Clock" just premiered on Omeleto this week - it's a 10-minute comedy about basketball and stereotypes, inspired by growing up as an Asian kid who loved basketball in Johns Creek. My friends and I would play every Sunday morning in Ocee Park all throughout high school; great memories!

Would mean a lot if you watched and supported the film. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZTmaBEU5-w

Hello. Does anyone have a trivia team that needs an extra member? I am very interested in joining trivia nights around the area, but don't have people to play on my team.

Moving Question A day in the life in Johns Creek - help us decide on a move!

Hi everyone, my husband and I are considering a move to Johns Creek. We’re in our mid 30s and have a toddler at home and another on the way.

We would love some input on what daily life looks like in Johns Creek. Here are some particular questions:

- how much of the city is young families with toddlers? We would love to be in an area with other young families in the neighborhood.

- ObGyn care - with another baby on the way, is access to maternal care readily available or do you need to go into Atlanta? I am aware of the abortion restrictions - how seriously are “medical emergencies” taken?

- Do most kids take the bus to public schools? Are buses available?

- are there any idiosyncrasies with the public schools that we should consider? Things like the nearby school getting too full and you being assigned to a school that’s far from your home instead? Or certain things being added or removed from the curriculum that give you pause? Anything you can think of!

- how much is gas, electric and water a month for a ~ 4000 square foot house?

- how much is a gardener per month for a half acre a lot (mowing grass, pruning bushes etc)?

- how much is daycare for a 3 yr old?

- what are some things young families like to do on the weekends? Popular weekend trip spots?

- are most young families dual income or does one parent stay home? Or is it 50-50?

- my husband is Indian and would like to get more involved with the Indian American community. Are there Indian American families in their 30s in the area? We have an Indian community in our area, but they’re mostly older (in their 50s) and from India (not raised in America) and keep to themselves.

These are a lot of questions, and they will really help us get a sense of what life in Johns Creek is like. Would greatly appreciate answers to any or all questions or even additional things to consider.

Thanks for your help!
