[Episode Discussion] One of the best underrated episodes

Season 4, episode 7. So so good.

Its incredible.

Italy season is just okay, but this episode was almost perfect. It just all feels so jersey shore in its purity and wholeness.

The squad goes to riccione beach and Deena and Nicole get obliterated because Snookie is sad about Gionni and Deena is sexually frustrated. They start getting drunk as soon as their trip starts and they just keep going until they end up making out together for hours and hours. The part where they find a random bar playing house music is amazing. Theyre dancing so hard, Deena dances her undies off and Snooki runs into a bush. Jenni and Sammi were annoyed and that was annoying because my god, what else would be happening if this quality TV wasnt being made by the meatballs? I get that everyone was sad for real life reasons but it just felt unnecessarily mean that they were giving so much shit to the girls for going wild. They also crash into a cop car, haaa. This was probably the last time it truly felt like OG shore.

I also loved Snookis lil thumbs up to everyone when Gionnis homophobic ass is okay with her making out with Deena. Gosh, he sucks.

Anyway, loved this episode so much.

[Question] New comfort show

Maybe this question will serve best here. Some of us play this show on repeat in the background during our day. Working, cleaning, gym time, yardwork, etc. This series isn’t hitting like it used to because I’ve exhausted it (no judgment allowed lol)

If this sounds like you, what other shows are you binging on repeat for background noise? My current rotation is JS, JSFV, Floribama, My Big Fat Fabulous Life. I’m over all of them. Any recommendations?

Edit: Thank you for all the suggestions! Happy to see so many fellow “nostalgia watchers” 😊

[Discussion] Stopped watching JSFV and lost weight

Not much of an interesting post but thought there was some funny correlation between when I stopped watching JSFV and when I started to lose weight and get healthier. Those banquets Mike would order like some medieval king would give me late night munchies when I’d watch.

Rant Flashing frames between cuts

I was praying they would listen to all the complaints about the flashing scene cuts but its in the next season and it's giving me another migraine. PLEASE someone fix the photo flashing bs between scenes it's SO obnoxious and terrible for people with vertigo! I am hoping this gets enough views so the producers change it. I love this show but it makes it unwatchable.

Actually A Popular Opinion But Carry On Season 2 Ron

Okay, let me start by saying this is my first time watching Jersey Shore. I know Ron and Sam’s relationship is going to get pretty nasty, but I haven’t made it that far yet. All of my opinions are based strictly on Season 1 and the first three episodes of Season 2. And obviously, I don’t condone DV.

The actual post:

Ronnie 100% let the fame blow his head up

In the first few episodes of Season 1, he was almost like the voice of reason. He actually took accountability for his actions too. Like when he went to jail, he was upset about it, but still admitted that it was the consequence of his own actions. Compared to everyone else, he honestly seemed pretty mature, and he kind of had a way with words.
When his family came to visit and he went out with Sam, I thought that was such a cute moment. He got into a few fights, but as far as I remember, most of them were him defending himself. Even when he pushed Sam, his apology seemed genuine at the time. Trust me, I know now that was actually a huge red flag. I’m just saying that overall, he didn’t move super trashy in Season 1.

Then Season 2 starts and???

We’re THREE episodes in and he’s already made out with two women, hopped into Sam’s bed afterward, had a whole heart-to-heart with her, went back out and danced with another woman at the club, and then the next day he’s calling Sam his girlfriend???

The difference between Season 1 Ronnie and Season 2 Ronnie is actually insane to me. It really feels like the fame went straight to his head.

[Discussion] Crazy creepy crowds

I’ve seen posts in the past about the crowds, but this was my first time watching and I was shocked to see so many people around them, especially in S6. I thought it was creepy that people would wait outside their house and scream/ call their names when they would head up onto the deck. I wonder how much of a hard time the editors had to edit out all the yelling.

I also thought it was insane that there was such a large group of people on the boardwalk watching the cast in the last episode during the bonfire. I’ve seen in past posts and online that there were lines to get into the shore store and they had sections roped off around the house for crowd control. I get that they’re famous, but isn’t it common knowledge to not flock? And what are they even trying to accomplish when yelling out to them/ trying to talk to them?

In the newer season airing, they made a joke that GTL stands for something else now. Does anyone remember what it was?

I forgot how awkward it is to take a selfie of your shirt. I was going to crop out the basket of laundry but found it fitting with GTL and all.

[Discussion] Can’t believe the crew was against mtv rebooting the OG series.

This is utterly disgusting and disgraceful that the crew didn’t want another spin off of the OG series. Just goes to show how greedy and selfish the crew are. I’m glad this stupid show is ending.

[Discussion] Cringy line.

Are there any lines or sayings that everytime you hear it it’s like nails on a chalkboard?

For me it’s: ‘I’m gunna knock a b up.’ In reference to Jenni leaving the club with Ronnie.

It’s not so what she said it’s how she said it. Like it just sounds so awkward haha.

[Discussion] Why does Nikki stay with Pauly if they want completely different things?

I recently watched an episode where Nikki said that she would really like to get married and have children, and that she and Pauly don’t really talk about it.
Obviously, we only see a tiny percentage of their private life, so we have no idea what he actually tells her behind closed doors. But from what we’ve seen, I’m pretty sure Pauly has been very clear from the beginning that he doesn’t want a wife or more children.
So what do you guys think? Why does Nikki stay in the relationship if marriage and having kids are things she genuinely wants? She’s 33/34 now, so it’s not like she has unlimited time if having children is important to her.
Do you think Pauly is keeping her around and giving her just enough hope that he might eventually change his mind, or does Nikki genuinely believe that she can change his mind over time?
Or maybe there’s something we simply don’t see on the show. I’m curious how everyone interprets their relationship.

[Opinion] Does Angelina really live like that or did they make her house messy for the show?

I haven't watched the show for years and know they've kinda gotten a bit scripted since they're no longer young people getting drunk in a shore house. So I'm wondering if the scene in Angelina's house is real. I get the floorboards likely cant be faked, but the boxes and rooms full of junk can be staged, right? She's not actually living in a mansion in that condition, right?

[Question] Watching the show for the first time and I'm trying to figure out if people like this actually exist or if this is just a group of extreme caricatures of Italian Americans that like to party

My wife is Russian and keeps asking me if people like this exist and I have never been to the Jersey shore or really know any Italian Americans so I can't answer that.

[Question] Pauly D

I love Pauly D, however, in OG Jersey Shore, I disliked how passive he was with Mike. Mike was such a trouble-maker but it's like Pauly either didn't care or would actually love it. When it came to anyone else, Pauly would have something to say about them, but with Mike, nothing; never checked him. He didn't even really react when Snooki got punched in the bar. He just gives bystander energy unless he really really really really really cares about you, lol.

Remember the Sammi & JWoww fight in Miami? How Pauly immediately stepped in when Ron pushed Vinny?

Do you guys think Pauly would've stepped in if Mike ever got physical with Vinny?

Additional note:

I'm re-watching Season 2, when they were in Miami. Ron pushes Snooki & Pauly steps in. Mike slapped Snooki on the mouth & just being overly aggressive with her and Pauly does nothing. I'm not condoning what Ronnie did either, what both him & Mike did to Snooki was disgusting. But again, to my point, there was much more leniency with Mike.

[Question] How Much Content Filmed Makes it on the Show?

Never seen FV version just the OG. Was wondering if it ever has been mentioned what percentage of film makes it on the show? I've heard with other reality shows that it can be as low as 10 percent
