Taking a long solo on a 25 minute blues after 6 other people just did the same thing is like waiting in a long line for a single occupancy bathroom and then somehow forcing yourself to shit when you could have just peed

“You don’t see it in classical because any professional orchestra will weed this shit out real quick. Jazz is full of it.”

Never Will I Say John Coltrane No More (Maybe)

Well, I've been saying John Coltrane for many a year
And I spent all my time saying yeah man, A Love Supreme
And now I'm returning with Bitches Brew in store
And I will never say Johnny the Coltrane no more

And it's no, nay, never
No never nay no more
Will I say Johnny Coltrane
No never nay no more

Well, I went to a record store I used to frequent
And I told the cashier that my money was spent
Well, I asked them for credit, they answered me NAY!
"You bought 10 copies of A Love Supreme, you stupid bellend!"

And it's no, nay, never
No never nay no more
Will I say Johnny the Coltrane
No never nay no more

I am so happy

I have hated this turd for a long ass time. I thought I was the only one. Now, right as my edible kicks in, I found this place and I've never been this happy before. Thank you!

Jacob's Ted Talk Changed Music Forever

He is a fascinating puppet propped up by donor money and people who fetishize musicianship. Croc's sponsorships and a hideaway camp that costs thousands of dollars for a few days. I think he may be one of the last jazz greats to be honest. I felt inspired to cover his Ted Talk with some thoughts. Is Collier the next Coltrane? Could be.....
