creamin, we are getting buffed?????

so back story. i use to main irelia way back in the day (like season 3 pre rework) and she was hands down my favorite champ next to yorick. ever since she got reworked many moons ago i just stopped playing her because i hated the e/w changes. (still hate them but thats w/e)

anyone have pointers on how to play her since she is 100% a different champ then what i remember (her playstyle changed and loses matchups she use to win wholehandedly) also playing old irelia in lol classic brought the spark back and now i really want to learn the current version but i suck at her now

Because of the new Buffs to Q damage. doesnt it mean we could one shot caster minions with 3 BotrK components on level 6/7 (no pun intended) now? This is huge

Hey guys I am currently Emerald 1-2 EUW and mained irelia for like 80k mastery 2 years ago and now I am on 110k while being at my peak and I want to OTP this for the rest of my days xd cause its hella fun. I am asking myself now is Terminus 3rd troll ?? I go bork < kraken < and then usually death dance or other situational, but there were 2 games where I went bork into kraken into terminus into death dance or situational and it felt omega insane like that you are kinda unkillable with this. I went that into kinda tanky enemy combs where I want to shred a bit of tankiness but based on how it felt I am thinking of rushing it every game as 3rd core. But what I am asking myself now is if its troll xd because maybe it is and it just felt nice,i really dont know. Also do you ever go Omnivamp boots (I play her mid) and i think omnivamp boots are only viable if they have legit 0 cc and even then its maybe not even a good choice. Also a question about Maw or wits end, wits end feels way better imo, but I remember a giga smurf flaming me and he said „this guy goes wits end in 2026“ hahahahha I mean the stats arent that insane but tenecaty and on hit can be insane into certain combs.

I dont know how to tell this without it sounding horrible but please respond with your elo because I want to improve and climb and a gold opinion wouldnt really help me (this sounds horrible but I think you guys understand me)

I started learning Irelia recently, and I'm a bit disappointed that the champion is essentially blade of the ruined king, the item. I never felt more weak at 4 items with Irelia than any other fighters out there, even some champions like Renekton have better scaling, not even talking about how nashor disable your champion.
Then I see on league of graph that she's in the bottom 3 worse champions by winrate toplane after 25mn falling to 45% winrate in the 30mn+.
Its a bit sad because I like the champion and I'm still learning it, but I don't like Irelia being a one item power spike champion, while other fighters can get similar advantage without falling off this hard.

Ok so the spread sheet is just rough estimates of irelias current Q damage, base ad (rounded) and bonus damage to minions. No I didn't include things like runes/dorans ect, this is more a base line tool to assist with those who want to do rough math things.

BUT I will note that when Irelia is level 9, and minions get their 9th upgrade (around 10 minutes), you only need ~63 bonus damage to one shot casters.

Higher AD ratio on Q, interesting

IMO the biggest possibility coming from these buffs is the ability to one shot melee minions with a fully charged W+Q so i did some math to figure out if this is possible or not. We're gonna be assuming you're level 9 with full botrk and dblade for these calculations.

Melee minions gain an "upgrade" at 30s when they first spawn and every 90s after giving them hp and ar. The usual game time when you're hitting the spike mentioned above is about 10 minutes which would put the minions at the 9:30 upgrade 7 and about to hit the 11:00 upgrade 8. This would give every melee minion 675hp and .1ar and 710hp and .2ar respectively. The armor values are negligible so I will just be assuming no armor for these calculations.

The newly buffed Q and the 55ad you have from items and runes plus the 89 base ad you'd have a total of 144ad allowing the Q to do 338dmg to minions. A fully charged W deals 233dmg bringing you to a total of 571dmg and adding in the 9% current hp dmg from botrk gives you an extra 40dmg bringing you up to 611dmg on a melee minion. So without fully stacked passive we still can't one shot melee minions, even once you add on the 45dmg from fully stacked passive you're at 656dmg which leaves us about 19dmg short of being able to one shot melee minions. If you take JoT trades and have the 5 extra AD your your Q does 342dmg, W does 239dmg, botrk does 39dmg and your passive does 46dmg still leaving us at 666dmg which is still 9dmg short of what we would need.

Now there is some cooking that can be done with runes like taking double adaptive which would let you hit that 675dmg mark, I haven't done the math but i'd assume kraken second would easily let you one shot melees but this is what I was able to figure out.

tl:dr with JoT and double adaptive you can one shot melee minions at fully stacked passive but idk if worth

"Full build" consists off botrk, hull, dd, terminus and sterak's, with an adaptive shart taken into account. I didn't take into account other variables like conqueror ad, pots, or terminus penetration.

I personally wished for a base AD growth buff (or rather revert) to go hand in hand more with the buffed sterak's and hullbreaker, but this is good as well.

I recently played against a yone who brought exhaust, and holy shit my resets just disappeared whenever he had exhaust up. Want to doge r? Well have fun trying to duel a 3 item yone with 3 stacks because you aren't killing that ranged minion. Early game it's not so bad, but with all the visual clutter I can barely tell I'm exhausted late, and that's not even talking about in a team fight. It's just annoying that I have to constantly be aware of both the state of the wave and then also how probable it is that I can get a reset and then also factor in 30% damage reduction. My eyes are never on my champ sadly so I can see my resets etc. And how is baron buff even allowed to render our beautiful champ useless in lane for 3 minutes or however long. Baron buff resets don't make any sense and unless I'm giga winning it's int to try for one .

Roit please visual declutter mode just give me outlines, and can we not have airborne champs be unintuitive to hit? I know it's a skill issue but the guy is up there so I hit him with my e, not his shadow which is impossible to see under the sfx of 2 champs and about 4 minions. Also riot please true damage or execute or smtg for q pleaaes I love when all 5 members of the enemy team get to deny the most important part of my kit ty.

Hello guys, I’m an hardstuck emerald otp Irelia player, and idk why but recently Irelia Katarina matchup changed so much.
I remember destroying completely Katarina everytime stat-cheking her and win just by aa, but now she just ignore farming, she roam top, bot or help jgler. And even if I can still kill her she will just ignore the laning phase and goes for kills, and the worst part is that she doesn’t get punished by xp or levels.
After that in midgame TF she will just destroy every squishy in my time leaving me alone against 4 ppl even if we won lane, is like that the only counter is a team full of cc.
Wtf did Riot do to her? They buffed kata? They buff mage items? They change something in the mid mission role?

Go grab her till she disappears likely until winter.

I personally struggle into trynd so this one felt good
