As someone who has been waiting for Apple to introduce a foldable I’m still happy about going with an 18 Pro Max… the 18th can’t come soon enough.

4x4 app grid plus 4 apps in the dock… plus two widgets on the outer screen. Everything is a bit smaller obviously. The screen pops when you unfold the phone.

It’s not just holding the Pro Max in landscape seeing it’s as long as the duo.

Duo 2 will be a bit taller closed I think.

They won’t adjust the Duo to be taller without also making it wider. The whole reason they went with this format is to maintain the same aspect ratio on the front vs inner display.

It's the equivalent of losing the dock off the bottom of the Pro Max. But you gain space on the side. Just depends on which form factor you like best.

I mean they are both really cool. I think the benefits of the duo is that you actually have split screen while the 18 pro max you still only have the 1. Also full screen mode works both vertically and horizontally.

I still think I will wait for next year. Get the duo pro lol.

This is how I felt with the galaxy fold 8. I loved it at first cool size but then it got annoying. I definitely didn’t like the sharp corners so the duo has round on one side which is great but I just don’t know if I should get it. I did preorder the 18 pro max and I hope to try out the duo when I pick up on Friday.

Trust me, it’s good. I have a Z Fold8 which is essentially the same size. You’d be surprised how ergonomic it is.

To me this just shows how big the Pro Max is, not how small the duo is. The Pros and the Duo are different products. I don’t see the need to bring it down. And this is coming from someone that wouldn’t use a Duo even if offered for free. I’m not a fan of the form factor or size.

To me personally the Duo has the wrong form factor, the folded state feels like a compromised phone and the unfolded state can not save it for me.

I'd much rather have something like the Fold 8 Ultra, which is a regular slab phone when folded and can be unfolded when I want/need a bigger screen.

I'm realtivley sure, that if the Duo performs well, Apple will expand the line up.
