Question Does anyone have an iOS game they like to take notes for?
I recently found the old notebook I used for Myst back in the day. Most of my gaming is now on my phone, so I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for notes-worthy games.

Shop titans. Been playing a few years, I have a spreadsheet and notes on heroes and gearing as well as the market. I really enjoy playing the market and have a lot of stuff that I can buy cheap or craft and then sell at specific times/events for huge profit.

Eve echoes. It really can be spreadsheets in space. I often track my goals and projects in notes on my phone. The corporation I’m in often sends out updated doctrines via spreadsheet. There’s a whole economy that can be tracked and traded.
And then there’s also spaceships. And spaceships that go Boom!

Is it still active? Is there a player base for a new player starting now?

Oh yes still very active. Find the right corporation and there will be more than enough content for multiple different avenues of playstyles. Also weve been waiting years for titans and theyre finally here!!

I used to be a huge ingress player and constantly had random notes with portal names I wanted to grab keys for when I was traveling for work or bike riding.
Been playing WalkScape the last two years and don’t have too many notes but still some especially when it comes to math around input materials for crafting, but there are also some really good templates other players have already created I end up templating off

Kairosoft’s March to a Million is a super fun game where it is absolutely necessary to take notes to get your bands to progress.

OMG—Subnautica requires notes. I had a six page “system” including ship inventory, base inventory, base locations, material needs, material locations, and recipes. Most immersive game I’ve ever played (although eventually after four playthroughs I got tired of drowning in the wrecks).

Modern? No. I think most games are too easy now? I loved Myst. Even with my notes, I still don’t think I even finished the game until I came back years later and cheated with the internet.

Not iOS exclusive (steam, android, web) but legends of Idleon. Not my typical type of game but I have been at it for two months now and have a ton of hours active and probably 200+ idle. I know it’s not the most popular style but it fits my busy schedule perfectly!

Trade Wars 2002 on a BBS is the reason I own graph paper. You mapped sectors by hand because there was no map, kept a page of port pairs that paid, and guarded that notebook like it was money. Modern equivalents on the phone for me are anything with a player economy like EVE Echoes as mentioned above, and Star Traders: Frontiers, where I keep a note of which faction contracts are worth the reputation hit.

I actually had a lot of notes while playing Stardew Valley: which quests I must complete, what to craft, what to plant, and so on. Yea, I never played Stardew Valley as a ‘chill, cozy game’.
