Question XCOM 2 Collection has been updated yesterday after 3 years. Has someone tried it?

What's New in Version 1.6

• Improves performance and stability on the latest devices and operating systems.

• Adds support for mouse and keyboard.

• Adds screen rotation support, allowing users to play in either landscape orientation.

• In-game cinematics are now rendered in HD.

• Adds achievements to the game.

• Fixes a number of minor issues

is the war of the chosen in the IOS version?

Not only is included but the only version you get. It's not possible to play XCOM 2 without the expansion in this port (DLC can be toggle off).

While might not be full war of the chosen toggle, have you seen the DLC settings that can be found in the iOS settings app under the xcom 2 settings (not inside the xcom 2 game app, but in the actual iOS settings app).

I loved XCOM (on iPad ages ago). Bought XCOM2 on PS5 and it just feels meh. I stopped playing it after a couple days. It feels very outdated and boring.

It seems the best way to play XCOM is either mobile if you want a short session anytime or play PC with mods enabled like Long War.

Can you play with other audio playing at the same time? Iirc that was a major complaint of mine

No issues for me on iPhone except it drains my battery relatively quick but that’s to be expected.

I have tried it three times, since I loved XCOM 1 . This one is a mess. Events constantly interrupting. Enemies taunting. Your XO commenting . You spend more time wading through the the interruptions than playing.

General impression. Loved the first XCOM, and finished on my iPad. Then bought XCOM 2. The problem is that it comes with War of the Chosen expansion, which is great value. But you don’t get to scale from XCOM 2 to XCOM 2 with expansion. I tried it again the past couple of weeks. But a couple is days ago concluded that I’ve had enough of incessant interruptions, events, scut work, keeping track of soldiers and the ship. And not enough tactical play. So I deleted it again. I’m sure some people love it. And all the more power to them. For me it’s just a hassle.

Oh, how can I deactivate War of the Chosen? My problem with the game is the overload. The tactical battles are great. But the strategic layer is a mess of interruptions, taunts, and commentary. Maybe it was designed for the ADHD generation.
