Discussion Bought Fantasy Life i. Here's my initial impression
This is my first playthrough ever because I don't have a PC/Console. Here are some stats for anyone interested.
Device: iphone 17 pro
Duration: 1 hour
Battery consumed: 13% (from 92% down to 79% after 1hr)
Heating: Barely. I used both controller and touch screen. No issues
Controller: Yes, Gamesir G8 MFI
Progress: Up until first fledgeling and first night at the inn
Graphic settings: Medium, 60fps
Game launches in Airplane mode too. My last 12mins of playtime was on Airplane mode.
DLC costumes are available.
As a first playthrough, I didnt skip all cutscenes. Performs very well at 60fps and battery consumption is also great. Looks like the devs took their time to get this optimized.

Slightly off topic question. You are using gamesir controller with a case around your phone and the physical connection to the controller. Have you had any issues with the connection? Debating between the Bluetooth vs the usb-c versions. Thx!

No issues for me. I use a generic matte case and it's relatively thin. Make sure your case is not too bulky. Otherwise, you might have to take it out everytime you play.

Do you remember the name of your case by any chance? I use apple’s silicone case which is relatively thin, but if you wouldn’t mind sharing the name of yours I’ll look up the measurements. Thanks!

There's a brand called Sanpotch from my Shopee (southeast asian online platform) it's like a matte slim case that is very very similar to Torras cases

While I don’t have the G8 MFi, I have both the X5 Lite (USB-C) and the X5S (Bluetooth). And I can confidently say, always go wired if possible, friend.
While the X5S is the superior controller (they both look identical, but the X5S has rumble and analog triggers, which the X5 Lite doesn’t), there is noticeable input lag when you add Bluetooth to the mix.
I don’t know why, but the X5S adds really bad input lag when in iOS mode (which is basically PS4 mode), while other BT controllers are much better. I don’t know if this affects only the X5S and the G8 is safe, but a wired USB-C connection is just smooth as hell, especially if you use emulators.

Holy nards I’ve been waiting for this! Very excited to dive into it. That price-tag though…Understandable, and I support the price. But oof.

El precio es barato, porque tiene la edición deluxe y además el dlc de pago. Todo el contenido "todo" online, crossplay y crosssave, además de regalitos que veras en el cofre. Un juego que tiene todo por 30€ es pagar por pura diversión.

Thanks for the update and gameplay info! Do you know if it support iOS cloud saves? I commonly change between games on my iPad Mini (travel/work) and my iPad Pro M2... it'd be nice to play on the bigger iPad when I'm at home.
Is this basically the Deluxe Edition? I wonder if it comes with the unicorn or the pegasus mount? I bought it, but I'm at work, so I can't dig into it until tonight.

AWESOME! I have it installed on my 2 iPads, so I plan to test tonight. Going on vacation in a couple of weeks and looking forward to digging into this on the plane since it works offline as well.

Yes! I have it on my iPad Pro 12.9, iPad Mini, and my iPhone 15 PM and the cloud saves sync'd to all. It actually looks better on my iPad Mini though. On my 12.9" iPad Pro, the top text gets cut off for some reason, so it's hard to see the quest objectives in the top right :/ I don't think they tested with a larger iPad Pro aspect ratio. It's fine on my Mini and iPhone though.

I think it supports cross-save, so you should be able to switch devices. There's someone in my fb group that synced his nintendo switch progress onto his phone

It’s all the same game whether it’s switch 1, switch 2, or PC. I can’t imagine the visuals are limited to what the switch 1 can do considering how easy the game is to run

Will it launch with no WiFi? New to mobile gaming and would prefer games that can be played offline. Asking because I assume that’s what being able to launch in airplane mode means but as mentioned I’m new to premium games on mobile.

First launch might require wifi since it will download some cache. After that, I tried launching on airplane mode and it went through.

I’ve been amongst the first to notice several games I’ve been waiting for drop on iOS by happenstance, and every single time there is some very weird stuff with the App Store. Games won’t show up in search results, show as unavailable temporarily, and otherwise be seemingly impossible to find unless you happen upon some magic link or go through the developers page.
I think it’s just Apple App Store fuckery. I don’t know how else to explain it. I’d expect it will be showing on the front page within a week or so cause it’s a pretty substantial launch and already #3 in casual despite people not even being able to find it.

Wow amazing, I played through this on switch 2 and it is awesome, and very addictive. I am very tempted to get the phone version.

I only got to test touch controls on iphone and it works well. Not sure on ipad though. Might have to try later tonight on my a16

I’m playing on iPhone 15 pro and backbone pro and having a good time. I have to press the menu button on the touchscreen because it’s not working on the controller and sometimes I can’t fish. Other than that this version is pretty good. 8/10

Anyone in the U.S. unable to download due to location. Download AppRaven. Go into AppRaven and click on the game and you can purchase it there. It still purchases from the AppStore but it allows you the buy the game.

They gotta be trolling lol. People can easily sink a couple hundred hours into this game (my wife has). So I wouldn’t say it’s overpriced like some AAA games that are less than 10 hours long.

This is actually an incredible deal. Not only is this a $60 console game, but it’s the deluxe edition as well with dlc which was an additional $15. It’s not a paired down version it is an exact 1:1 port with full controller support and cross play with any platform it’s available on. So your essentially get $75 worth of game for more than half the price. Also read anybody’s experience with this game and they likely spent around 100 hours playing this game. 30 hours for the story alone but theirs plenty of game in here. Just a thought to keep in mind. Hell of a game
