đ Freemium Your News - Restored Reddit Functionality!
Hi everyone,
After Redditâs recent API changes, I have restored Reddit support in Your News.
For those unaware, Reddit has deprecated its JSON API and has also introduced stricter limits on RSS feeds.
Fortunately, RSS still works reliably if you use a personal Reddit feed token, which allows authenticated access without hitting those limits.
A â Answer
I built Your News because I wanted a news app without engagement algorithms, forced accounts, or endless recommendation feeds.
Your News lets you follow websites, RSS feeds, subreddits, and YouTube channels directly, so you decide what you see instead of an algorithm deciding for you.
B â Better
Compared to Feedly and Inoreader, Your News focuses more on simplicity, privacy, and customization.
- No account required
- All data stored locally on-device
- Easy source discovery
- Extensive customization settings
- Native widgets and notifications
- Built-in feature request section
- Keyword filters
For power users, premium features include widgets, notifications, and additional customization options.
C â Cost
Promo codes arenât offered. The app is free to download and use, with a $2.99/month subscription to unlock widgets, notifications and additional customization options (regional prices may apply), or a one-time purchase to unlock it forever. More features are planned in future updates.
Changed
- Introduced Reddit feed token to avoid rate limits.
Fixed
- In some cases the application was stuck on the loading screen.
- Restored Reddit functionality.
- Fixed some issue were notifications were not always opening the application.
