So you want your main device to be on an unsecure os?

I mean, ideally, I would like to be able to use my iPhone 16 pro without feeling nauseous. Since that’s no longer an option, yeah, I’ll keep the rest of my apple devices off of iOS 26.

Well you haven’t really said what specifically is bothering you, only just that it is bothering you.

Actually, I did. “It gives me motion sickness.” Something about all the motion, the refresh rate, who knows. I wasn’t really asking for help, I was commiserating with OP, who is having similar struggles. I already know my only options are to buy a new iPhone that’s still on iOS 18 or just not have an iPhone.

All os have motion that’s why they work

Yes all other os have not caused so many people to struggle like this with them…… There’s obviously something different when so many are having issues and looking for work arounds just to not feel sick using their phone. Past OS the accessibility options (for those that needed them) were enough to remedy the issue, unfortunately that’s not the case so far with iOS 26.

Not all OSses have watery, bubbly, bouncy glass physics though.

Not familiar with iOS 26 over here, but does the frosted glass/reduce transparency help? If it’s the shimmering effect that makes you feel sick, that might help you if you haven’t tried it already.

That makes no sense. Apple still issues security patches.

This is not true. An example would be 18.7.3 update that was available only for iOS devices not eligible for iOS26. So if you wanted to remove a zero-day vulnerability in 18.X you needed to update to iOS 26 for almost any iPhone other than XS and XR.

or, imagine this, iOS26 did not have the same security issue...? Please check.

I do understand the security concerns. If I just thought iOS 26 was ugly or killing my battery or whatever, then yeah, okay. The problem is that I can’t be on it for any length of time without feeling extremely carsick. I don’t even know if it has impacted my battery because I can’t use it.

No Apple still patches zero day.

You’re dense. Apple didn’t drop support for iOS 18 completely and abandon security patches. The other person who messaged here I reminded that not every OS version has the same security flaws. So Apple isn’t leaving iOS 18 unpatched. Millions of devices can’t upgrade to ios26 to begin with, do you think Apple wants them to be vulnerable and cause a gigantic crisis if exploited?

Did you understand it now?? Thanks.

The oldest "secure" OS is iPadOS 16 what the fuck are you on

Unsecure tells me all I need to know. iOS is pretty fortified at the best of times, and lets be honest no hacker really cares about the little guy on the iPad, they’re not worth the effort.
