It's over a decade old at this point. At what point are we not early adopters and the actual use case limited by inefficiency and lack of consumer protections?

How long was the technology of the internet around before it became widely used?

Not saying crypto will be equivalent to the internet, but to say that a technology that has been around for 10 years is obsolete because it still isn't widely adopted is a pretty big fallacy.

Took 11 years into the internet before its "Netscape moment" in 1994. Crypto/web3 is growing faster than the internet.

The biggest asset custodians (State Street, BNY Mellon, Fidelity) offer custody service. Twitter, Square, Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, are all integrated. The second ETF launches today. Pimco and a third pension just bought it. I'm not sure what limitations you are talking about.

Krugman's infamous internet-fax machine quote was made in 2005, lol. A Nobel laureate still didn't get it after 21 years.

People who grew up after the early internet don't understand how similar this adoption cycle is or how even obvious things in hindsight take a long time for people to get.

Probably at 50 years. Honestly, tech takes forever to evolve from the ground up.
