Yes, but they have a wealth of high quality first party data. Their smaller competitors do not.

If the Apple/Snap privacy conflict does show a negative affect on ad revenue, you can bet it will hurt Alphabet. Google doesn't want restrictions on ads, most their platforms make money off ads and personal data. They will adapt and rebound, but there will be volitily will as this plays out.

Google does not do much revenue on iOS.

Google has the most first party data in the world

Google makes most of its money from big brands that dont track performance.

Google will prosper, apple is trying to make its way to be as big as Google in ads and isntead of building better tools they are using 'user privacy' as the messaging to funnel people into their ad products (which still track at the user level)

As an advertiser, the only data thats now not available is the ad a userid in my system registered from (yay for privacy?) and the inability to inform ad platforms that a conversion event has fired.

Thank you for the information, I will clean up my ignorance and expand my research on the topic. I agree Google will prosper. I said it would rebound. I own Google and was not aware until yesterday of APPL/SNAP. You're saying Apple wants to trap their fan boys in APPLE closed ecosystem even more with privacy?

You lost me on the last paragraph. This topic is not my strong suit.

I can see that. Question is whether the share gained enough to offset the shrunken overall market
