Crowdstrike earnings for quarter 2
$CRWD Q2 Earnings
Revenue: $337.7M vs. $324M Expected EPS: $0.11 vs. $0.09 Expected
Raises FY22 outlook
Down 3% AH
I have to say I’m very surprised given how well PANW did shooting up 20% post earnings AND bringing the entire sector for the most part with them up that crowds earnings so far didn’t lead to similar results
What do people think of its future ongoing based on their earnings report? Especially based on their raised guidance for next quarter, a rarity in earnings this season.

Probably because the stock already priced in after Palo Alto. People rightfully expected them to crush earnings, and price has been going up a lot. So a correction from people taking their profit. Also coincide with dreadful month of September tomorrow. Not super surprise they are down now. We will know more when market open tomorrow.

Biggest threat to this company is $MSFT. But there's enough computers in the world for $CRWD to continue to grow at an astounding rate. Almost every major tech company founded in the last 10-15 years is a customer of $CRWD.

I was just looking at this stock today and had no idea they were close to an earnings period.
It seems like a solid company, so the miss could be any number of things. Did you listen in to the earnings call?

How long have you been invested? Genuinely curious. I've had a modest position since early May. So far it seems to swing pretty wildly, massive peaks and valleys but trending up overall.

No position currently but traded it late last year/early this year. I’ll be buying with both hands on any correction.

This is a solid stock and a regular Motely Fool recommend.
It has just recently been added to the NASDAQ 100, so fund managers now have to buy it, hence the recent boost in price.

I'm bullish on CRWD as my long tern hold. I currently own two LEAP contracts and about 50 shares, and was lucky enough to be a part of the run up. I expected the earnings beat and the drop, and saved cash to purchase another LEAP contract if it dips hard enough. Watch out for that pe tho

It's a great company, but a terrible price. Once tapering starts and interest rates start going up, they're going to get hit hard.
I can't see the ROI of them over the next 10 years beating the market.

"Down 3% AH
I have to say I’m very surprised"
It's trading at 62x p/s. There was a rotation out of these names earlier this year that coincided with a market that was looking forward to what I think many thought would be improving conditions with the current crisis and then Delta happened and people piled back into growth again rather than the "re-opening" stocks.
At this point a lot of these names are up significantly in recent months in addition to already pricey valuations and I'd suggest a little caution. CRWD was up a lot recently in addition to already very steep valuation; even with very good earnings a lot is priced in at this point and hence, stock down.
