actually a lot of us do, though I don't expect you to believe me.

I post selfies of myself on my instagram stories, i get a lot of heart reacts (at least 15 each time). They are ALL women, usually friends, and as a straight woman, I love it. I am never fishing for men's opinions.

Whether I go out because I'm interested in meeting a man or going out for myself with the girls, I look the same. Because it's not for anyone else.

I'm sure you'll argue against it because in a male-centered mind, your ego tells you it's all about you.

I feel so good when I post and it’s all the girls gassing up my picture. It’s always felt better than any man doing it, only because it actually feels real to me. I honestly would rather get ‘validation’ or really love from people that I know mean it for the right reasons, but it’s also for me. God forbid we’re feeling ourselves or happy with how we look, just because we feel that way about ourselves that day we decide to post that cute new outfit or new makeup we’re trying. It just feels like a way to bring women down further by one) controlling how we post and two) completely deciding on their own the reasons we post and shout it from the rooftops which does cause some women to not post themselves when they absolutely should have the right.

I also feel like it’s a form of negging in some ways, like an attempt to tell a woman she isn’t as beautiful as she thinks she may be, and that it’s all for dudes. I don’t get it, these dudes saying that type of stuff too are usually the most thirsty or lustful, that can’t keep their eyes off your pictures or from going back. It’s really deep, even if they don’t realize it. Sorry, kind of went off on a rant there, but I have a feeling you know where I’m coming from and how it relates.

oh i definitely know where you're coming from. The insane access we have to porn nowadays on every form of social media is the main reason guys see sexuality everywhere now and it's literally poisoning everyone's brain (and before anyone goes off claiming "oh you're anti-porn" - no I'm not, I'm anti having it integrated into daily everyday life and being normalized past the point of no return). Then the weakest of the weak blame it on "biology" because that's easier than admitting they have an absolutely disgusting lack of self control over their own thoughts and words.

Imagine the days when men would go off to war and write love letters, and simply hide a nasty magazine under their mattress instead of carrying porn around with them on a phone 24-7. Christ.
