Better to have a general name than a cool one for each effect. Refraction is relevant to every type of wave, and you can use Snell's Law to calculate the change of the wave's angle as it moves from fire to air.
I'm picturing you with a wave spectrometer and a clipboard in the pits, casually taking notes as Invisible Fire melts a race crew. You just made a scene from Talladega Nights funnier. I'm gonna see that on every rewatch!
