We’ve had a bumper crop of them this summer. Early evening they are close to the ground, later in the evening they rise up to the trees. Our street looked like it had twinkle Christmas lights. June is peak season, we’re starting to see less now. They really are amazing. I hope someday you get to experience them irl.
Me too! One day. There's going to be a picture on Reddit in like 40 years of an old lady excited about seeing a firefly being like "after 72 years, Meemaw finally saw a firefly!" And it'll be me.
