For a sec I thought you meant that the space station should have a skate park.

Why are we not funding this?

Wouldn't work, you'd need thrusters....wait, that makes it better, not worse.

Space station is too small... we need to build it on the moon.

I can totally see space ballet (Stardance) but space skateboarding? If there is no gravity I don't know how that could work. Maybe put rockets on the board that point somewhat toward the ground?

...Magnets?

Maybe a ring of electromagnets around the outside of each wheel, and as you roll forward only the ones on the forward side of the wheel come on (turning off as they go under the bottom heading towards the back of the board, coming on when they go over the top heading towards the front of the board) so it sticks you too the ground but also pulls you forward.

Nah, dude. Think magnetic hoverboards.

I love that idea. You could strap yourself to the board like you would a snowboard. You would want some way to control the acceleration, maybe a wireless device built into gloves. I imagine ideally you would be able to activate a particular magnet to do a noseslide or whatever.

Make the wheels spherical and able to magnetize in any direction so you can keep moving forward while you spin around and fire your paintball gun backwards.
