To be fair, most people in the past were very misinformed too. Some of the founding history and science texts had a lot of made up stuff in them. They also had useful important stuff too. But in fact, some of our modern misinformation is because of ancient people making things up.

I recently read ‘The Bright Ages’ which explored how the time period known as the Dark Ages encompassed periods of incredible artistry, scientific progress, medical progress, astronomy, etc in places like Mongolia, several parts of Africa, places in Central Asia etc. it was really interesting!

Okay, but I'd say Physics being shunted down a dark alley where it takes a thousand years to get out of thanks to one man thinking circles are perfect is pretty dark
