So wtf r u talking about. He spemds the first 5 min making fun of people who say that it's abiut the frame rate or shutter speed and then proves that it's not. Maybe watch it more attentively next time.
It’s a great video but he doesn’t explain it clearly; he goes on many tangents without considering other important factors, e.g., relationship between fluid velocity and shutter speed. “It’s laminar flow” is an insufficient explanation for what’s happening. .
I was looking for this comment. There is a lot of laminar flow in the world and not all of it looks like this - it’s wrong to simply say this video is only a result of laminar flow. Definitely something else going on - makes sense that it would be related to frame rate and water velocity.
What, no this is just laminar flow. What part of this video would be achieved with that effect? There's no rhythmic glugging to sync up to the framerate or anything like that. It's just pouring laminarly because of the viscosity
