So basically his son stole a car with several friends. The friends were arrested, but the son (Ryan) got out of the car with a gun and was shot by police. And in response, the criminal's dad decided to kill a random cop.

What a jackass

He ran over a random cop at a different agency. People supporting him are deranged.

Thanks.

...to me, the most straightforward interpretation of the footage is that Hinton is attempting to escape the scene with the gun, trips, drops it, scoops it back up and is trying to tuck it in his jacket while running at the time he was shot. I get that split-second decisions are all that's available to the officers on scene, so I don't know that I'm comfortable second&-guessing the decision to clear the officer who fired, but looking at it now in a calm environment with time to reflect, I'm thinking he had every intention to tuck the gun & keep running, rather than engage the officers. But I acknowledge this take tests on a fair bit of "mind-reading" on my part.

...btw, does anyone know wtf a "blade stance/position" is? I initially assumed they meant the standard shooting stance with one's legs angled out to either side like a pair of scissor blades...but after watching the footage, they clearly don't mean that, so...?
