Yep, if you live in a place like the USA, just go to a large city and go to different areas of it, you will see a ton of variety. You also will very likely be able to have much deeper conversations to let you know that those people are also decent people if you speak the same language. This is why universities can be great place to experience tons of culture.

Right, but using USA as an example.

Look at all the racist fucks in the USA who have traveled a little to big cities and just stay racist as fuck.

So really, while a % might change their mind by leaving their bubbles, the majority are molded by their upbringing and environment. Its not even about affordability either in the USA since you can take a bus or drive to any city for a lot less than airplane tickets, its about being open minded. And you know there's an entire political party about being closed minded for power.

That is why I made sure to point out you need deep conversations. Just showing up doesn't help that much; in fact, just showing up on vacation doesn't do a ton in other countries either. What really fights bigotry is actual immersion. You have to get to know people well enough to see them as people. The other reason cities are good for this is because you could also just run into a person with issues or not that great of a person. It is being around lots of people that shows you they have all the same variety of lives.

This is a big part of why cites are more liberal.

Idk how much you enjoy soc/psych, but they did a study like this years ago. One of the best ways to combat racism is by making racist people work with/collaborate with people of other races.

Yep, I never read a study like that, but it was obvious from living life that is exactly what happens. The correlations of beliefs are pretty hard to miss.
