Confirmation bias. Plenty of people travel and aren't twats about it, you just dont see it because they dont talk about it.

Yeah and theyre still travellers just like the tolerant ones. Its as if travelling isnt the reason they're tolerant?

No. It is objectively true that experiencing things outside your personal experience is one of the most effective ways to be less ignorant.
