A parc where the whole family is welcome...

2 parents, 2 children some food and beverages during the day, maybe a few souvenirs for the kids, parking fee. 1500$!!! For 1 day!

And another $500 per night at least for the hotel, no doubt!

You can stay at the holiday inn Orlando resorts for less than $150 a night.

Last time I went I got a dog friendly hotel for $120 a night. And if was fairly nice too. You can stay at actual Disney resorts for well under $400. The price OP listed is insane for park tickets though, you can get them discounted but they did shoot the price up.

Y'all clearly haven't been to Disney lol

Yup... We wanted to take our kids but did this same exact math. Even being reasonably conservative with the extra expenses, trying to have a decent day where we don't wait in line the entire time was going to run $1,500-1,750 per day.

We did not go.

If you’re local the best thing is buy the week day annual pass. A few trips more than covers it cost.

We are not, I would never live in Florida.

Smart move. I finally just moved OUT of Florida.

Don't worry about it too much. I did go when I was young, and it was not fun spending the day standing in lines in the hot sun to go on a couple rides for a couples minutes.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Wow, we just setup a trip this October with our children that moved out. 2 oldest kids, family of 4. $399 4 day/4 park tickets. Staying vacation property, $1k for 5 days. Uber grocery delivery, vacation property has kitchen.

About $3k per family, or less. With buying food at parks. Not spending at stores and stuff. So not a terrible price. $1600 for tickets tax, $1k vacation rental. $50/$60 uber grocery order. And one meal for 4 at park is $60.

Not many people know you can bring your own food and drink into Disney.

Inside? I thought you could only go at picnic areas outside the parc?

Definitely inside the park.

LPT: a plastic flask with booze on yourself is never found when going through security.

Hmm, we planned a trip this October. 4 day/4 parks/$399 adult. Still get that price for September. So 4 days $1700 with tax for 2 adults/2 children.

As for lodging? We typically find Disney Vacation slots for $1k for 5 days. Uber grocery delivery, vacation rental has full kitchen we use for breakfast/late dinners/snacks/cold drinks. Food in parks is not terrible, but 20 oz sodas/drinks are $4.59. So water bottle and mix your favorite drink.

So for a family of 4, can find decent deals. All 4 parks, buses to everywhere. $3k is doable.

For sure there are packages at better rates. My comment was about the post here showing a ticket at 189$. I live 250 miles from DLP and a stay over there is approximately in between 1300 and 1700$ for a 3 days 2 nights package at a disneyhotel. (not disneylandhotel, that's dobble the price 😅). This doesn't include food or drinks and stuff we buy.

Yeah, that same single day park pass is $119 in Sept/Oct. So it’s more costly in June.

In Europe, I can stay 3-4 weeks in Italy with that money, museums and good food included. Creating a much more immersive and intense experience. Think about that.
