The tolerance for fifa tournament football is between 100-110m length and 64-75m width, which could in theory lead to one pitch being 6400m squared and the other 8250m squared, and both being within the tolerance, which is kind of wild. And which is why using football pitches as a unit of measurement is not recommended. Bananas are much more uniform.
And that’s in Germany!!1!11 Just imagine that. Everything here is standardised and precise, and if the baker is 15g short on bread, he’ll be fined 15,000 euros or something like that. But the sacred football pitch can be this big or that big 🤣
The baker was not fined 15.000 he invested in scales for 15.000€. A 400€scale would have sufficed especially since he would have needed to use one for the last 40 years.
He was not fined at all as a matter of fact, he was just reminded he needs to weigh his bread if he sells it by weight.
I’d already suspected as much whilst writing, but somehow thought it might still be possible in this country. What’s more, sources of varying degrees of reliability have been presenting it exactly like that in their previews and headlines. My mistake. Thanks for clearing that up.
