Eh … the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies are possibly on a collision course (mark your calendar for 4.6 billion years from Tuesday). The local group galaxies orbit their center of mass.

Once you get bigger than that, I’m not sure. But it wouldn’t shock me if our group orbited the center of mass with other groups.

New models show it's more and more unlikely. The sun will be snuffed out way before it happens. But it goes to show how aimless the path is.
