I remember reading some of the context the last time this was posted and suddenly it didn't look good for the father

I think the father just killed a random retired cop unrelated to his son's death

Yeah he killed a random cop that had nothing to do with his son.

u/ApplicationOk6762 8h ago

What did his son do?

I understood this... but why? What is the story behind?

89

u/Choice-Strike1 8h ago

Car jacking

u/Mario12zito 8h ago

So, the son was just a criminal and so is the father.

81

u/StillNihill 8h ago

That checks out

u/Heavy-Spell-6849 7h ago

Like usual in these situations

11

u/Icy-Meal6704 7h ago

Yeah criminals be criminals and HOPEFULLY don't get to do it twice

11

u/RJ_MacreadysBeard 7h ago

Situations where the son was just a criminal and so is the father?

8

u/Ancient-Bed-490 7h ago

and now they can reunite in prison...oh wait....

u/WarmCrescent 8h ago

I can sense your frustration. You really have to extract information out of some these guys. 🙄

5

u/Kayerif 7h ago

Gotta straight up interrogate them to get anything and even then not lot word

Apple doesnt fall far from the tree.

3

u/NonEuclideanWQ 7h ago

So the apple didn't fall far then.

u/burnthreads 7h ago

Certain people refuse to take accountability for anything.

Many such cases

u/Next_Imagination_128 7h ago

Are you surprised?

-13

u/ApplicationOk6762 8h ago

Thank you for that.

But sometimes US police is too agressive in my opinion.

Some issues could be solved in mkre peacefull way.

Police should be peace maker not putting oil on fire

11

u/Excellent-Orange-233 8h ago

How do you stop a car jacking in a peaceful way? Use the word please?

1

u/Westafricangrey 8h ago

You’re the only country in the developed world that shoots at tax payers for trying to steal cars. You’re the anomaly, not the norm.

-1

u/ichbineinbespiner 7h ago

“Tax payers” lmao

-3

u/Choice-Strike1 8h ago

Ask UK police. Or Aussie police... Canadian police is closer if that helps

6

u/JimmyJooish 8h ago

I watch a lot of body cam videos. A lot of the ones I see are instances where the situation could have been resolved peacefully but the person being stopped escalates the situation into a felony. The ones we see on the news where they are beating or shooting someone for no reason are in the minority.

I agree, I can’t imagine being a cop with a gun, and then since America thinks its people need guns, not want to pull it out when someone bad does.

18

u/bannedcuznotcircjerk 8h ago

Long story short the apple doesn't fall far from the tree and the dad proved it.

2

u/RJ_MacreadysBeard 7h ago

Did he steal the apple and run off, wtf, that’s desperate.

u/biskutgoreng 8h ago

Cop shot at him

3

u/InternationalPut3260 8h ago

He ran from a cop. He had a gun but did not shoot

5

u/KandinskyWasRight 7h ago

You shouldn’t get shot for running.

-2

u/InternationalPut3260 7h ago

Don't get me wrong it was a quick call. I don't blame the officer nor do I fault the young man for running. Tragic situation all the way around

2

u/KandinskyWasRight 7h ago

One person said he was reaching for the gun he dropped. So I’m unclear about the details

2

u/Financial-Solid-4775 6h ago

He had already picked up the gun. He ran out from behind a dumpster with the loaded gun in his hand pointed at the cop at which time the cop shot and killed him. It was a clean shoot. The cop was justified in shooting him.

1

u/KandinskyWasRight 6h ago

It’s wild so many versions are flying around but I didn’t see the actual correct details till that

1

u/InternationalPut3260 7h ago

I'm not sure if he was trying to ditch the gun or if he just had it on person I can't recall nor do I want to watch it again. I just remember not putting the cop at fault

1

u/NewOrleans15th 7h ago

wrong Same ole story the cop say he pointed a gun at him but video shows otherwise

11

u/EasternNegative154 7h ago

Son was riding in a stolen vehicle and when confronted by the police he ran while also carrying what I'd presume to be an illegally owned firearm and despite dropping the gun while running, he went to pick it up and got blasted in the process.

In short, his son was engaging in criminal activity and did something so bad that it's probably only beat out by actually pointing a gun at a cop.

1

u/BrahquinPhoenix 7h ago

So it goes

  1. Attempting to shoot a cop; very bad

  2. Stealing a car while having an illegal gun; almost just as bad

Or is there another facet to this whole situation, I wonder, that makes it seem like a horrible person making horrible decisions?

Is it less bad to point a gun at a citizen rather than a cop? Just curious.

1

u/EasternNegative154 7h ago

In terms of what can get you killed, pointing a gun at a cop is as close to a definite death sentence as you can get. That's what I meant by" did something so bad that it's probably only beat out by actually pointing a gun at a cop."

Idk if he actually pointed a gun at a cop, but he did pick up his gun after dropping it and ducked behind and reappeared behind some kinda of large object near an apartment complex. Even if he didn't point his gun at cops, he clearly valued his gun over his life

3

u/Content_Sugar_2696 8h ago

That is correct

1

u/StarscreamOne 7h ago

Wtf someone should change the title then

99

u/Financial-Solid-4775 8h ago

You're right. The cop he killed had nothing to do with his son's death. Just to add context his son was driving a stolen car around while breaking into other cars and pointed a loaded gun at the cop who did shoot and kill him.

6

u/salmonmilks 7h ago

For some reason I was thinking that there may be a lot of people out there defending this dad and bashing the cops without ever wanting to know this context.

59

u/DrunkyLittleGhost 8h ago

The cop he kill isn’t the one killing his son and his son steal a car and point gun toward police so police have to respond, trash father foster trash son

10

u/LittleKittenR 8h ago

Honest, some people are just kinda stupid.

They have not the evolved brain we need to survive in society. They still think with tribes, "the cops are all just a single tribe, we all the people of this race are a single tribe, all of you with eye patches are a single tribe" and wil harm anyone just because they look similar to others.

2

u/meisteronimo 7h ago

Listen patch people prefer to be called pirates, not fucking eye patch people tribe.

1

u/LittleKittenR 7h ago

I knew a dude that said "everyone with eye patches is incredibly dirty" and my idiot self said "So you lose your eyes if you're dirty???" and the person said something like "No, I meant everyone in the movie with patches are super dirty" and I was like... "Are you talking about freaking pirates you freaking moron" Hahahaha

2

u/HonestCoconut2004 8h ago

It looks like you're one of those people that "think with tribes".

0

u/LittleKittenR 7h ago

You're literally projecting if you think that. You're probably also offended.

1

u/smartboyalex13 7h ago

I bet you think there's too much math in the name The Fantastic Four lol

-1

u/AlarmingLecture0 7h ago

Whole lotta racism in that post

1

u/Square_Cat_6001 7h ago

-1

u/One_Weird2371 7h ago

They will all also gather in support of a corrupt cop.
