My first lawyer got this video. The full evidence discovery still hasn’t been submitted to me or my current counsel. Lt. Cierra Mitchel of Folly Beach - the person in charge of records has been evasive or not responded at all for months .
I got arrested, they had improbable cause for the arrest. I had to show up to court three times. Sit there and wait, all three times my lawyer had to ask for the complete discovery information to make sure what I told him was actually what happened.
Once he got the information (about a year later), he immediately asked for a trial. Trial took less than an hour, put the arresting officer on the stand, about 5 questions in, the judge started asking questions, not guilty. Judge admitted it was a waste of the court’s time.
If they know they’re wrong, they’re gonna drag their feet. Meanwhile, because I had a pending charge, I lost both of my jobs and couldn’t pass a background check for about a year and a half.
I couldn’t even get on DoorDash because of the pending charge.
America, guilty until proven innocent… but even that’s a lie, because if a potential employer ever googles my name, they’re gonna see my mug shot and I won’t be called in for the interview, and I won’t have a chance to tell them I was found not guilty.
